Teddi Mellencamp Reveals She Is Expecting a Baby Girl: 'The Kids and I Are Just Blessed'

A second little girl is joining the Arroyave family!

On Monday, Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave announced she is expecting a baby girl with husband Edwin Arroyave.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 38, shared the news with a slideshow of videos and photos on Instagram.

In the first slide, Teddi, Edwin, 42, and their daughter Slate, 7, and son Cruz, 5, can be seen jumping for joy surrounded by pink balloons and confetti. For the reveal, Teddi and Slate sported pink striped pajamas while Cruz and Arroyave wore the same set, but in blue.

The next slide is a video, which shows Teddi and her family popping the balloons and then screaming excitedly as they learn about the newest addition to their brood.

“It’s a girl!” Teddi wrote. “Of course, we would have been equally excited either way, as @tedwinator, the kids and I are just blessed to have a healthy baby no matter the gender.”

Teddi went on to share that she hilariously agreed to let Cruz help name the baby.

“Not sure she’ll be too thrilled being called ‘Catboy’ Arroyave,” Teddi wrote.

Teddi, who is the daughter of rocker John Mellencamp, revealed earlier this month that she is expecting her third child, her rep confirmed to PEOPLE.

In 2018, Teddi shared that she didn’t think a third baby was in store.

“I would love to more than anything,” Teddi answered a fan on Instagram. “Most likely no though. I had multiple miscarriages before Cruz and the IVF process was very hard for me and I am not sure I can go through it again.”

Said the reality star: “I feel very blessed with the kiddos we have.”

The Bachelorette's Mike Johnson Says Demi Lovato Made the First Move and 'Kisses Really Well'

The Bachelor in Paradise star, 31, was a recent guest on iHeart Radio’s Almost Famous podcast, hosted by Bachelor Nation stars Ben Higgins and Ashley Iaconetti, and revealed that not only have he and the “Sorry Not Sorry” singer been going on dates — but they’ve also kissed.

“We’ve gone on more than one date,” Johnson told Iaconetti when she questioned him about his relationship with the pop star. “I like her tattoos — we both have a lot of tattoos. Demi has more than me.”

“And, uh, she kisses really well,” he added, much to the excitement of hosts Iaconetti, 31, and Higgins, 30.

“I’m getting to know her for her,” Johnson went on. After Iaconetti asked how he felt about Lovato, 27, making the first move, he said, “For one, I’m all about her, too. She definitely was the aggressor, you know, I find it incredibly sexy. I love that like, ‘come at me. You want me, come at me.’ I want you, I’m come at you. I’m coming at her as well.”

Lovato first made her crush on Johnson known at the very beginning of Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette, sharing her thoughts on her Instagram Story as she watched and continuing to do so throughout the season and after Johnson was booted off the show.

Johnson’s comments come not long after he told former Bachelorettes Rachel Lindsay and Ali Fedotowsky-Manno on their  Bachelor Happy Hour podcast that he thinks Lovato is “amazing.”

“She’s incredibly humble,” he said. “When Demi and I are together, it’s laughter and we talk about real s—. Like, she’s a down-to-earth woman and I respect it so much. And she’s just a really humble, really cool, really fun, down-to-earth person.”

“My status of the relationship with Demi and I are that we are two people exploring each other,” he added.

However, while Johnson and Lovato’s relationship seems to be going well, the San Antonio, Texas, portfolio manager revealed on the Almost Famous podcast that he’s not the biggest fan of dating in the spotlight.

“To be perfectly honest, I personally don’t like it,” he said when Higgins asked him how it feels for so many people to be invested in his dating life. “I am very private with my relationships, like, straight up.”

That being said, Johnson said that he knows it comes with being in the spotlight.

“But I mean I’m in this eye, she’s been in this light, and that’s why I said she’s so humble, and I think the world of her because like, she’s been able to have to deal with this crap like I can’t even imagine from her perspective,” he said. “I personally don’t care to talk about, you know, what I do behind closed doors. I’m a gentleman, I’m not going to kiss and tell.”

Johnson said that it comes down to a fear of what people might say if he and Lovato end up not working out.

“It scares me, honestly,” he said. “What scares me about it is that if Demi and I were not to become boyfriend/girlfriend, right, how would people perceive that? Which honestly, I shouldn’t give two s—s about it, right? No disrespect to people that, you know, follow us. But it scares me for that reason.”

“Being quite transparent, she’s a woman that I treat like a regular individual,” he continued. “I’m a man that she treats like a regular man. And we do like each other and we are getting to know each other, but what if it were not meant to be? People would speculate, oh, this, that, and the third. So, I would rather not have that.”

Jessica Simpson Posts Cheeky Comment on Amy Schumer's Photo of Comedian Celebrating Weight Loss

Jessica Simpson shared some cheeky words of encouragement to Amy Schumer after the comedian revealed she lost 10 lbs. following the birth of her son Gene Attell.

On Monday, Schumer, who welcomed baby Gene with husband Chris Fischer in May, posted a bikini photo of herself captioning it “Ok Simpson!” — calling out the “Where You Are” singer, who recently made headlines for losing 100 pounds after giving birth to daughter Birdie Mae in March.

“Well I’ve lost 10 pounds and 100 dollars to my sister playing poker,” Schumer, 38, wrote alongside the post, which shows her posing in the black two piece, standing next to her sister Kim Caramele on the beach.

Schumer concluded the post writing the hashtags “#norush #givememymoneybackkim.”

Simpson, 39, quickly raved over Schumer’s weight loss commenting, “You’re hot.”

She then went on to note that “Size only matters when it comes to men.”

Last week, Simpson revealed to her followers that she had lost 100 lbs. in six months. The fashion designer also shares daughter Maxwell Drew and son Ace Knute with husband Eric Johnson.

“6 months. 100 pounds down (Yes, I tipped the scales at 240 ),” Simpson captioned a two-photo slideshow featuring both herself solo and one snap with her 6-month-old baby girl.

In the images, the star is wearing black sunglasses and a black midi dress, featuring long bell sleeves, a pleated skirt and a belted, cinched waist.

A source told PEOPLE that Simpson was “very committed” to her weightloss journey and made it happen with hard work and dedication.

“She set a goal and she went for it,” the insider says. “She had a hard time not feeling like herself.”

Simpson worked out with trainer Harley Pasternak and his co-trainer Sydney Liebes, and got back to her favorite form of exercise, walking.

“Jessica had a trainer and she was very committed to working out. She also did a lot of walking — walking is huge for her mentally and physically,” the source said. “It’s always been something she does to clear her head and for the steps.”

“She ate a lot of vegetables. She also discovered the vegetables she likes that can also be masked into different dishes. And she limited foods that were fried and high in calories. But she did not deny herself and gave herself nice healthy meals,” the source said. “She believes in moderation and she was conscious of her goal. At certain times she allowed herself to indulge.”

Simpson told PEOPLE in July that she was “working really hard” on losing weight.

“It’s not easy at all, but I am determined to feel good,” she said. “I discovered I really like cauliflower. Who knew it could be a substitute for almost anything?!”

And she’s now hit her goal. Simpson wrote on Instagram on Tuesday that after she “tipped the scales at 240,” she’s where she wants to be.

Schumer is also feeling proud of her post-baby body.

In July, Schumer shared a sweet shot of herself walking on the beach with Fischer and their baby boy.

Frankie Muniz Isn't Bothered by His Intense Memory Loss: 'I Only Know What It's Like to Be Me'

Frankie Muniz is focused on living his life to the fullest and his memory loss isn’t going to stop him.

The Black String actor, 33, tells PEOPLE that while he can’t remember certain aspects of his life as a child star on Malcolm in the Middle, he’s solely focused on what lies in the future.

“I only know what it’s like to be me. Or have my brain,” says Muniz. “So, I’m only reminded of how bad my memory is when people I see, they come to me and go, ‘Oh, you remember when we did this? Remember we went on this trip to this country?’ And I have no recollection of it, but in my head, it’s not like I feel bad or sad about it.”

He continues, “I do when I think about it, but it’s just the way life is.”

“I only know what it’s like to be me and if I don’t let it bother me, I just try to live the most fulfilling, best life I can,” says Muniz. “I really try to take advantage of my time. And I’ve got a lot in my life.”

The actor, who starred in such hits as Agent Cody Banks and Big Fat Liar, says he’s grateful he’s had such a diverse career.

He adds, “I just want to keep moving forward so I don’t really dwell too much on the past.”

“Paige and I, we don’t spend a minute apart. I don’t get bored of her,” says Muniz. “ going to happen pretty soon. Well within a year, within 2019.”

Simon Hatley (1685 – after 1723) was an English sailor involved in two hazardous privateering voyages to the South Pacific Ocean. With his ship beset by storms south of Cape Horn, Hatley shot an albatross, an incident immortalised by Samuel Taylor Coleridge in The Rime of the Ancient Mariner (illustrated). Grammy Award-Winning Opera Singer Jessye Norman Dies at 74: 'One of the True Greats'

Jessye Norman, the renowned international opera singer who made an impact as both a music icon and a humanitarian, has died. She was 74.

Norman passed away on Monday morning at 7:54 a.m. local time at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Hospital in New York, NY, her family spokesperson Gwendolyn Quinn confirms to PEOPLE.

“It is with deep sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of international opera star Jessye Norman,” Quinn says, adding that Norman was surrounded by her loved ones.

The Grammy Award-winning singer died of “septic shock and multi-organ failure secondary to complications of a spinal cord injury she had sustained in 2015.”

“We are so proud of Jessye’s musical achievements and the inspiration that she provided to audiences around the world that will continue to be a source of joy,” Quinn stated. “We are equally proud of her humanitarian endeavors addressing matters such as hunger, homelessness, youth development, and arts and culture education.”

Born and raised in Augusta, Georgia, Norman was immediately surrounded by music, as she grew up singing in her church and around a musical family that included pianists and singers.

She continued her passion for music in college, opting to study the craft at Howard College in Washington D.C., and later at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore and the University of Michigan, before making her opera debut in 1969 at the Deutsche Oper Berlin.

From there, Norman appeared in a series of performances and concert tours around the world, including her United States stage debut at the Opera Company of Philadelphia in November 1982 and her Metropolitan Opera debut in New York in September 1983.

Her impressive soprano vocals quickly earned her praise and recognition as one of the greatest operatic singers of all time, as well as one of the leading African-American opera singers in a white-dominated industry.

Throughout her illustrious career, Norman was nominated for 15 total Grammy Awards, picking up four wins — including best classical vocal soloist performance and best opera recording — and a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2006.

In 1997, Norman made history at age 52 when she became the youngest person ever to earn the Kennedy Center Honor in their 20-year existence.

She also received a number of impressive accolades throughout her lifetime including earning honorary doctorates from Julliard, Harvard, and Yale, among others; having an orchid named after her in 1984 in France; being named Honorary Ambassador to the United Nations in 1990 by U.N. Secretary Xavier Perez de Cueller; and earning a National Medal of Arts in 2009 from former President Barack Obama.

In recent years, Norman had expanded her craft from opera to jazz and opened an after school program to “nurture the artistic and creative talents of students” called the Jessye Norman School of the Arts in her hometown of Augusta.

Besides performing and helping run the school, Norman served on multiple Boards of Directors for the New York Public Library, the New York Botanical Garden, City-Meals-on-Wheels in New York City, the Dance Theatre of Harlem, the National Music Foundation, and the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

Following the news, a number of tributes poured in from fans and loved ones on social media.

“One of the true greats in the world of music has gone on to take her place with the other gods: RIP Jessye Norman,” wrote one user.

“Beautiful Jessye. Thank you for some of the most sublime moments of music I’ve ever heard. Your gift to the world was staggering, and I am gutted,” said someone else.

Funeral arrangements for Norman are expected to be announced in the coming days.

Sholay actor Viju Kothe aka Kalia passes away at 78

Sholay actor Viju Khote has passed away at the age of 78. The veteran actor, who is a big name in the Marathi film industry, is popularly known for his stint as Kalia in Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Hema Malini starrer Sholay. He is also fondly remembered for his role in Andaz Apna Apna featuring Salman Khan and Aamir Khan. He worked in the entertainment industry for over five decades and we have lost a gem today. Viju Khote's loss is irreplaceable and we pray that his soul rests in peace. Viju, who worked in over 300 films in his career, breathed his last at his residence in South Mumbai. Viju is related to veteran actors Shubha Khote and Durga Khote. Their father Nandu Khote was a noted stage actor and in silent movies.

In an interview with Times Of India, talking about the popularity of his character (Kalia), Viju Khote had said, "It signifies the tremendous popularity of the movie. And that people liked Kaalia as a character. Actually I had done a play with him before the movie. The play, To This Night A Dawn, was directed by his brother Imtiaz. After Sholay, I did four-five more films with him. But I don't remember their names."

TV actress Rashami Desai walked into the Bigg Boss house last night. Before entering the house, the actress spoke at length Bombay Times, talking about the speculations that she will tie the knot with her rumoured beau actor Arhaan Khan on Bigg Boss. "I will tell people when I am ready to tie the knot. Why will I go about it like this? Main dhang se shaadi karungi, I won't get married on a show. I would want those people, whom I love and care for, around me on my big day. I don't know who has spread this rumour, but my wedding is not happening inside the house for sure," the actress clarified for once and all.

Talking about her dating rumours with Arhaan, Rashami cleared the air on that part as well. "No, I am not dating him. I have known Arhaan for a long time and we have become very good friends, but we don't share the kind of equation that people think we do."

Rashami's Dil Se Dil Tak co-actor Sidharth Shukla is also a part of the reality show. There were rumours of their proximity during the course of the daily soap two years ago.Talking about her equation with him today, Rashami said, "I don't know from where these rumours surfaced. Since I am not answerable to anyone, I didn't feel the need to clarify them. We were professional on the set, and that's about it. He is a friend, but not my best friend, who I would meet even after the show ended. We know each other from before, so that's definitely a plus on a show like Bigg Boss. Kartik Aaryan to play the male lead opposite Alia Bhatt in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai?

Sanjay Leela Bhansali was keen to make Gangubai with Priyanka Chopra Jonas but the filmmaker has changed his mind. Buzz is that Alia Bhatt is being considered for the titular role and we wouldn't be surprised if she bags the film. The actress was already on board for SLB's Inshallah with Salman Khan, which is now shelved. While the Dabangg actor has backed out of the film, Bhatt, on the other hand, is very much a part of Bhansali's ambitious project. Now, since Inshallah has been shelved, the filmmaker has shifted his focus to Gangubai - his another ambitious project. Yes, you read that right. And if a Mumbai Mirror report is to be believed, then Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety actor Kartik Aaryan is in running for the male lead of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's movie.

The Luka Chuppi star has been spotted at Sanjay Leela Bhansali's office which has added fuel to these rumours. Gangubai is based on a chapter from Hussain Zaidi's novel, Mafia Queens of Mumbai. The film primarily focuses on Gangubai Kothewali, the matriarch of Kamathipura. Talking about the female lead, SLB has apparently roped in Alia Bhatt for the role. This wasn't the case earlier though.

The filmmaker had approached Priyanka Chopra and they were in talks for the same. "I love the story, it's been with me for long and I'm keen to make the film. Priyanka and I are in talks," he was quoted as saying by the leading daily. However, when PeeCee was asked about the same recently, she had said, "I haven't signed a Hindi film yet I'm a fan of Sanjay Bhansali in whatever he makes, I'll always be his fan."

Movies This Week: War, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, Joker

Last two weeks were full of entertainment and it was a tough fight between three movies like Sonam Kapoor's The Zoya Factor, Sunny Deol's directorial Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas which was his son Karan's Bollywood debut and Sanjay Dutt produced Prassthanam. Fans loved Sonam Kapoor and Dulquer Salman's fresh chemistry. Karan Deol's musical love story Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas won the heart of the audiences. Prassthanam, on the other hand, was structured like a Shakespearean tragedy, and the audience was quite impressed by Sanjay Dutt's spectacular performance.

Michael Darby Denies Sexual Misconduct Claims — Including Allegation He Grabbed Andy Cohen's Butt

It was all about Michael Darby on the final installment of the Real Housewives of Potomac season 4 reunion on Sunday, as the controversial househusband took the stage to confront a whole new series of sexual misconduct claims — including one that he had grabbed the butt of reunion host Andy Cohen.

Michael, who is married to Ashley Darby, had been the talk of much of the season after a cameraman claimed in court documents that the 60-year-old real estate mogul had “grabbed and groped” his butt during filming.

Michael denied the incident happened, and charges of felony assault, as well as misdemeanor improper sexual contact, were eventually dismissed by a Montgomery County court due to insufficient evidence. But during the reunion, Potomac Housewives Gizelle Bryant, Robyn Dixon, Karen Huger, Candiace Bassett Dillard and Monique Samuels all brought up additional claims and revealed they had heard Michael had allegedly groped other male staffers over the years.

The women said the alleged incidents happened back in 2016 during RHOP‘s first season, around the same time cameras caught Michael touching the backside of former RHOP member Katie Rost’s then-fiancé Andrew Martin on the dance floor.

“Producers have told us you have done that to them,” Bryant told Michael on Sunday.

“I was told the same thing,” said Dixon. “That the same night that Michael grabbed Andrew’s butt, he also went around and grabbed their butts.”

Michael once again denied any inappropriate touching had taken place, telling Bryant and Robyn, “that’s not true,” multiple times.

Ray Huger, Karen’s husband, then dropped a bombshell of his own — claiming he had witnessed Michael grab Cohen’s butt after the filming of a previous RHOP reunion.

“I’ve seen you grab someone’s behind, for myself. I saw you in a different situation,” Ray said. “I saw you grab Andy’s butt at the reunion. … I saw that. You guys were kidding around. It’s not a big deal.”

The alleged grab, Ray said, meant that he believed Michael had, in fact, grabbed the cameraman during filming.

“I did believe you did it,” Ray said. “I didn’t think it was a bad thing. I thought you were being playful. … My situation was, you do that. You told me and you told the world that you do that in Australia all the time.”

Michael maintained his innocence, denying he had ever touched Cohen. “What a waste of time. There’s another unfounded accusation from someone,” he said.

“You and I might have had a fun joke about it. I don’t think I grabbed your butt,” he told Cohen, who agreed.

“I don’t remember,” the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host said. “I’m sure I was fine with it. The show went well, I love you guys.”

Meanwhile, Ray wasn’t the only househusband making waves. Chris Bassett, Dillard’s husband, also brought up another alleged incident of sexual misconduct by Michael.

Speaking at Sunday’s reunion, Bassett recalled he was with Michael at D.C. venue L2 Lounge when Michael allegedly groped the backside of the same cameraman, who later made the claim against him.

“I was called in to question because that same cameraman, while and I were talking, when he walked between us he said grabbed his ass then,” Chris said. “I didn’t see it … but I know that he walked between us, and he whipped his head around and gave a death stare.”

“There were two different instances,” Chris added. “Two different instances.”

In response, Michael told Chris, “You don’t know what you’re talking about, as usual.”

Elsewhere during the reunion, Michael addressed the alleged sexual comment he made about another househusband while the cameras were down.

Robyn and Candiace had brought up the comment before, claiming that they overheard Michael saying at a party that he would be open to performing oral sex on another male cast member (the mystery man’s identity was previously kept under wraps, but at the reunion, it was confirmed it was Juan Dixon).

Yet again, Michael denied saying that — this time discrediting Robyn and Candiace in the process and calling their claims, “the weakest story I’ve ever heard.”

“You were very drunk,” he said of Robyn. “The fact that she could stand up is amazing. She was wavering all over the place. She was drunk. It’s a fact she was drunk, we all know she was drunk. So there’s no way you remember me saying that.”

“Candiace, I didn’t even talk to that night. I don’t even like talking to Candiace. She was on the other side,” Michael continued. “The music was loud. It was after the event. … I don’t care what you have to say. I don’t care what you heard. You have no credibility.”

Of course, Robyn and Candiace felt otherwise. “I did not make it up,” Robyn said. “I would never make something like that up.”

“We were all standing together. You don’t have to talk to me for me to hear it. I heard it,” Candiace told Michael as her husband added that there wasn’t music playing in the restaurant at the time. “The only people in the restaurant was us. At that point, nobody else was in there,” she said.

In the end, Michael left the stage maintaining his innocence and telling the Potomac Housewives that they “should be ashamed” for questioning him at all.

The women, on the other hand, seemed to still have doubts.

“A question mark remains,” Karen said. “I hope for Michael that he stops or doesn’t behave this way, if he’s doing this.”

“He’s such an arrogant prick,” said Robyn. “If he can lie and say he didn’t say the comment, then he will lie.”

“Arrogant, entitled and crazy,” Candiace added. “I don’t want to be around him. It’s too much.”

On being asked if he took inspiration from Shah Rukh Khan and Kamal Haasan for the same, Deshmukh told Mumbai Mirror, "Kamal sir did it at a time when technology wasn't so advanced. Shah Rukh sir I watched live when he was shooting for Zero and quickly realised I couldn't match them, so I didn't even try."

IFF Mark II was the first operational identification friend or foe system, developed by the Royal Air Force just before World War II. The Mark I, its predecessor, amplified the signals of the British Chain Home radar systems, triggering a radar display blip. It required manual tuning, and operators could not always distinguish between an enemy aircraft and a friendly one with a maladjusted IFF. Even though actors have an entourage of stylists, it is quite common for most to have bad sartorial days. At times, the fit of a dress is unflattering or maybe a colour looks event inappropriate. In some situations, a celeb and his/her outfit is looking great but photograph badly due to poor lighting. Anyways, the celebs we have this week somehow did not manage to impress us. Here is a look at the ones we felt could have done better...

Rakul Preet Singh

The stunner was styled by Tanya Ghavri for the Marjaavan trailer launch. Firstly, the colour of the dress from ASOS looked straight out of a kids ball pool or circus tent. The lace-up shoes did not lift up the look either. Rakul's makeup was bang on and she looked great till her neck.

The actress wore an outfit from Papa Don't Preach for the trailer launch of Saand Ki Aankh. While her makeup, footwear and hairdo was great, the top half of the outfit was a real let-down. That light violet patch looked out of place and so did the embellishments.

Kriti Sanon

She is one of the most goregous gals around but Kriti Sanon's light purple pantsuit was total blah. With a kimono kind of belt and print that looked straight out of a high end bedsheet brand, it looked very inappropriate given that she was a speaker at a conclave.

Madhuri Dixit Nene

The diva has salvaged many tacky outfits with her million dollar smile and poise but we wonder why Madhuri Dixit Nene was decked up like this for the grand finale of Dance Deewane. The colour looks fab on her and saree is also a striking one. However, that diamond and emerald set makes it OTT.

The Wikipedia article of the day for September 29, 2019 is Chartwell.
Chartwell is an English country house near the town of Westerham, Kent. For over forty years it was the home of Winston Churchill, who lived there until shortly before his death in January 1965. In the 1930s, when Churchill was excluded from political office, Chartwell became the centre of his world. At his dining table, he gathered those who could assist his campaign against German re-armament and the British government's response of appeasement; in his study, he composed speeches and wrote books; in his garden, he built walls, constructed lakes and painted. During the Second World War Chartwell was largely unused, until Churchill lost the 1945 election. In 1953, when he was again Prime Minister, the house became his refuge after a debilitating stroke. From the garden front, the house has extensive views over the Weald of Kent. It was opened to the public by the National Trust in 1966.

Reba McEntire Opens Up About Her Former Stepson Marrying Kelly Clarkson: 'Thank Goodness!'

Reba McEntire is counting her blessings that Kelly Clarkson is her daughter-in-law!

On Friday, the country star, 64, appeared on an episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, where Clarkson, 37, pointed out that McEntire was not just her talk show guest, but also a friend and family member.

“This is so weird, you know, ’cause when you’re friends and family with someone and you have ’em on your show, it’s awkward,” Clarkson told the audience.

Clarkson and McEntire have performed together many times, including the 2007 duet version of Clarkson’s “Because of You.” A year later, the duo hit the road together for a 2008 tour.

The two became family in 2013 when the “Since U Been Gone” singer married Brandon Blackstock. He’s the son of manager and guitarist Narvel Blackstock, whom McEntire wed in 1989 and divorced in 2015.

“I ended up marrying her oldest son, and you got stuck with me more,” Clarkson added with a laugh.

In response to their friendship evolving into family, McEntire had one thing to say: “Thank goodness!”

Once the audience began clapping at McEntire’s remark, the country singer added, “I’ll clap to that one too!”

Clarkson also couldn’t help but rave about her mother-in-law, noting how much of an inspiration McEntire and her illustrious career have been.

“Out of all the fun we’ve had, I always have my little moments with you because I know we’re friends and we’re family, but you’re always like that hero to me, especially musically,” Clarkson explained. “You’re just a beast, like a pioneer for women.”

“It’s insane,” she continued. “Not just musically, I think what’s amazing about your career is you’re a businesswoman, you’ve conquered Broadway, you’ve conquered TV, you’ve conquered movies, animated films. You’ve done everything you could possibly want to do!”

This isn’t the first time that Clarkson has gushed about her mother-in-law, whom she has remained close with even after McEntire’s split from Brandon’s father.

Last year, at a Kennedy Center ceremony where McEntire was being honored, Clarkson paid tribute to her with a powerful cover of McEntire’s 1990 hit “Fancy.”

Before belting out the country classic, Clarkson held back tears as she spoke of McEntire.

“I’ve been a fan of Reba since I was a little girl. Her voice has always felt nostalgic for me. Even as an adult, there’s something about her tone and her storytelling that just feels like home,” Clarkson said.

“Sometimes when we meet our heroes, it doesn’t always pan out how you hope. But meeting Reba — being friends with her, and eventually becoming family — has been one of the highlights of my life, truly,” Clarkson added. “So thank you so much for listening to me vent as an artist. Thank you so much for comforting me on the phone through my tears, like a friend. And thank you for being a really rad grandma for my kids.”

Clarkson and Brandon, 42, share son Remington “Remy” Alexander, 3, and daughter River Rose, 5, as well as Brandon’s kids from a previous relationship, son Seth, 11, and daughter Savannah, 16.

Between television shows like The Voice, hosting gigs, concerts and live appearances, McEntire revealed that time together is hard to come by.

“I don’t ever see the grandkids!” McEntire joked to PEOPLE in April 2018. “It was a lot better when everybody was not so busy, but I’ve got seven grandchildren, so they’re scattered all over the country and busy doing stuff. But I love them.”

Prince Harry Meets Landmine Victim 22 Years After She Shared Special Moment with Princess Diana

Prince Harry is not only visiting the same places in Angola that Princess Diana did — he’s also meeting the same people who made an impact on her.

During his visit to the city of Huambo on Friday, Harry, 35, stopped at the Princess Diana Orthopaedic Centre, the African hospital that his mother visited back in 1997, which has since been renamed after her.

While there, the Duke of Sussex was introduced to landmine victim Sandra Thijika. Though their meeting may have appeared to be a typical encounter, it was much more special than what initially meets the eye.

More than two decades before meeting the prince, Sandra famously shared a moment with Diana under a fig tree at an orthopedic workshop as a 13-year-old girl. The pair were captured sitting beside each other as Diana, then 36, placed her hand on Sandra’s shoulder.

Now, a 35-year-old woman with a prosthetic leg to help her get around, Sandra couldn’t help but smile as Harry shook her hand and later, knelt down beside her chair to chat with her on Friday.

Sandra wasn’t the only person that Harry interacted with while visiting the site.

The royal also met with another landmine victim — Justina Cesar, who lost her leg at 3-years-old — as well as a number of young patients that he spent time with and watched as they received treatment from the center.

Besides getting to know the patients, Harry toured the facilities and met the Minister for Health, the Director of Orthopedic Centre and a representative of BP, which has donated equipment.

Following a recent renovation, the hospital aims to become Angola’s national center of excellence in orthopedic care.

The new dad to son Archie also made a short speech, where he explained why the visit was so “deeply personal and meaningful” to him.

“Since my mother’s visit to Huambo so many years ago, this city has undergone such a visible transformation,” he said in his speech. “I am humbled and honored that my mother’s work and commitment to de-mining continues to inspire and that her legacy is being recognized and celebrated today with the naming of the center in her honor.”

“It has been an honor to retrace my mother’s steps today. I lost her twenty-two years ago, but the memory of her is with me daily and her legacy lives on which is why I am so happy to name the center – ‘The Princess Diana Orthopaedic Centre.’ ”

On Thursday, Prince Harry visited the exact site where his mother walked 22 years ago. The former landmine field is now a vibrant community, with several colleges, schools, and small businesses. A tree, dubbed The Diana Tree, marks the spot where she was photographed in 1997.

“It has been emotional retracing my mother’s steps along this street 22 years on, and to see the transformation that has taken place, from an unsafe and desolate place into a vibrant community of local businesses and colleges,” Harry said in a speech at the site. “This is a wonderful example of how the UK partnership with Angola can address the issue of landmines, bringing prosperity to an area, creating jobs, helping people access education and healthcare, and making communities safer. The work of de-mining is dangerous, expensive and laborious, and I have the utmost admiration and respect for all who do this hazardous work and risk their lives in service of their community.”

He continued, “I am incredibly proud as I know my mother would’ve been, of the role that the United Kingdom has played in this transformation through funding and the expertise brought by UK specialist organizations such as the HALO Trust and Mines Advisory Group.”

Earlier in the day, Harry visited a HALO Trust mine site outside Dirico in Angola, where he remotely detonated a mine and met with members of the community to learn how the de-mining efforts are benefitting the local population. Harry also gave a speech about the importance of clearing landmines in the context of conservation and for humanitarian reasons.

“Later today I will visit Huambo, to see the place where my mother walked through a minefield in 1997. Once heavily mined, the second city of Angola is now safe,” he said. “With the right international support, this land around us here can also be like Huambo – a landmine-free, diverse, dynamic, and thriving community, connected to and benefitting from all that it has to offer.”
