You could question as to why we are back every week religiously to discuss who passed the fashion test and who didn't, but you will find that the answer lies in the question itself. Pardon the philosophy but policing (fashion-wise) is not an easy thing to do. No, it's not difficult to differentiate the 'Yay' from the 'Nay' and recognise a trend when we see one. But it is the job of digging the pile of Nay(s) that test our patience. Cause let's admit it, even with an entourage of people, B-town celebs go as wrong as they can when it comes to style. Of course, it's subjective but the good thing is that pop culture is not.
So, we are here to do the dirty job and you can thank us later. From Alia Bhatt to Shraddha Kapoor and from Malaika Arora to Sonakshi Sinha here are the ladies who failed to impress. Even Karisma Kapoor has fumbled her way in this week's worst-dressed list. Have a dekko!
Alia Bhatt
The best part about Alia Bhatt's wardrobe is that the actress dresses her age! She doesn't take herself seriously and it shows when she pushes the envelope and tries to experiment. Even when it comes to athleisure and comfort casuals, Alia is always her chic self. Except for this one time when she was spotted in a roomy buttoned dress by Lovebirds and it did nothing for her svelte figure! The only saving grace was the transparent strap sandals (we are choosing not to comment on the top bun).
Shraddha Kapoor
Shraddha Kapoor has just had a release, Saaho with none other than Prabhas and that meant a promotional spree of all sorts. And while most of her outfits did accentuate her innate style, this white corset shirt dress from the house of Danielle Guizio left a gaping hole in the same. On her style sheet. Again, the transparent Public Desire shoes are the only thing we want to look at.
Malaika Arora
We are usually the ones cheering from the front row whenever Malaika Arora decides to walk the ramp and off it. Which is why it hurt to see her in Kalmanovich's tassel version of the classic LBD. The big buckle at the waist is distracting us from her highlighter rimmed collar bones and you don't want that!
Sonakshi Sinha
Sonakshi Sinha does florals more often than not. And while we like the statements she makes with big and bold prints, there is a resistance when one tries to downplay it. Case in point, this floral co-ord set that also tries to sell on embroidery but alas, fails. Maybe if the skirt and top are styled with contrasting colours? Just thinking out loud.
Karisma Kapoor
Karisma Kapoor is an evergreen style icon and there are no two ways about that. But not every day is slay-day. And Lolo recently had one of those when she wore a Pankaj and Nidhi off-shoulder gown in bright yellow and we didn't feel the Belle vibes. Instead, it made her seem pale and dainty.
