Jamie Lee Curtis Shares a Bloody Sneak Peek of Halloween Kills: 'Start Screaming'

The actress, 60, shared a sneak peek of the upcoming Halloween Kills on Thursday to the excitement of plenty of fans who will have to wait until next October to see the highly anticipated sequel to 2018’s Halloween.

“‘Tis the season….. to start screaming,” Curtis wrote on Instagram. “First look at the mayhem David has created for all of you. @halloweenmovie #halloweenkills #strodesstrong @universalpictures @miramax @blumhouse.”

David Gordon Green is directing the film and a follow-up sequel, Halloween Ends, scheduled for release in October 2021.

Halloween Kills sees Curtis return as her iconic character Laurie Strode. The actress is joined by Judy Greer, Anthony Michael Hall, Kyle Richards, Nick Castle and Andi Matichak.

The 2018 remake, which Curtis also executive produced, set a record for the largest opening for a horror film with a female lead with $78 million domestically.

Curtis celebrated the accomplishment on Instagram, writing, “Couldn’t be prouder of ALL who made this creative experiment have such a thrilling result!”

In July, the actress announced there would be not one, but two sequels to the horror remake she starred in last year.

Posting a teaser for both to her Instagram, Curtis wrote, “‘It ain’t over till the fat lady sings.’ Well, my friends and fans….I’m just WARMING UP Happy Halloween 2020/2021.”

Curtis began her acting career with the original 1978 horror film, along with three of its original sequels: Halloween II, Halloween III: Season of the Witch and Halloween H20: 20 Years Later.

In a cover story last year, Curtis told PEOPLE despite acting in a famed horror series, she can’t handle scary movies herself.

“I don’t understand why people like these movies,” she said. “I don’t like being scared! I’m the girl who watches movies under a blanket, and I cover my face.”

Dynamic Duo! Andy Cohen Shares Photo of Son Benjamin in His First-Ever Halloween Costume

Andy Cohen and his son Benjamin Allen are two peanuts in a pod!

The father-son duo celebrated Benjamin’s very first Halloween on Thursday by dressing up as Snoopy and Woodstock from the Peanuts comics.

Cohen, 51, showed off their adorable costumes on Instagram in photos that were snapped as the proud dad held his 8-month-old son and walked him through the streets of New York City.

The Watch What Happens Live host wore a giant white dog onesie that had a red collar around its neck and his head strategically placed inside the beloved beagle’s mouth, while Benjamin sported a fuzzy yellow onesie.

Like his father, the infant had his head peeking out of Woodstock’s mouth.

In the second photo, which was snapped from behind, Cohen continued his stroll down the sidewalk as he held his son in his arms. Keeping it simple, Cohen captioned the two images, “First Halloween.”

The father of one also celebrated the occasion by reposting a photo on his Instagram Stories, showing himself and Benjamin arriving at a house for some trick-or-treating.

The pair were snapped by Rebecca Hessel Cohen walking up the residence’s front stairs and towards a large bowl of candy.

“Thanks for the candy!” Cohen captioned the sweet shot.

Benjamin has had quite an exciting month.

Last weekend, Cohen’s baby boy got together with fellow Bravo star Ryan Serhant‘s daughter Zena, also 8 months. The babies enjoyed a fun bonding session, where they played together while surrounded by their dads and Zena’s mom Emilia Bechrakis Serhant.

In a video Serhant shared to his Instagram Stories, Cohen and Bechrakis Serhant, 34, sat on the floor with the babies, while the Million Dollar Listing New York star, 35, recorded the adorable footage.

“Smile!” Serhant said from behind the camera. “Zena, say hi to your boyfriend!”

He captioned the clip, “Their first play date!” and tagged both his wife and the Watch What Happens Live host.

Both Bravo stars welcomed their first children this past February, just weeks apart. Benjamin was born first, via surrogate on Feb. 4, and the Serhants welcomed Zena just 22 days later, on Feb. 26.

Since then, Cohen has shared tons of cute snapshots and videos to his Instagram feed and Story.

One recent image saw the father-son duo in selfie mode, grinning at the camera as they lounged in bed. Notably, little Benjamin sported a St. Louis Blues hockey T-shirt — a nod to his dad’s hometown.

Earlier this month, the two also visited the Statue of Liberty. Cohen couldn’t resist the photo-op, lifting his son into the air Lion King style, with Lady Liberty in the background.

With Benjamin’s first Halloween in the rearview mirror, Cohen is now looking forward to sharing even more milestones with his son.

“First day of school, bar mitzvah, just tucking him in, being on the beach with him,” the television host told PEOPLE shortly after Benjamin’s birth. “I’m in a place in my life where I have a pretty generous schedule and where I can afford to pick up and go somewhere for the weekend.”

“I’m excited to go on adventures with him and show him the world,” he added. “I want to see him running around a big green yard. I want to teach him to swim.”

Jersey Shore's Jenni 'JWoww' Farley on Her 'Heartbreaking' Divorce: 'It's More Than Exhausting'

Thursday’s episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation took fans inside a rare moment of vulnerability from Jenni “JWoww” Farley.

The episode picked up in the aftermath of an explosive argument between Jenni and Angelina Pivarnick over Jenni’s boyfriend Zack Clayton Carpinello. Angelina felt that Zack had been “inappropriate” with her during a wild night out in Las Vegas while Jenni was drunkenly passed out, but he claimed that she actually tried to kiss him — which she may have, on the cheek.

The two women had been feuding over the disagreement for weeks. Finally, the morning after the fight, they successfully squashed their beef once and for all with a mature (and sober) sit-down.

“I appreciate the fact that she’s trying to olive branch it,” Jenni said. “I’m tired of fighting with her all the time. She’s sorry, and I’m sorry, and I’m ready to move on.”

But still, not all was coming up roses in Jenni’s world. At the time, she was going through a difficult divorce from Roger Mathews, with whom she shares daughter Meilani, 5, and son Greyson, 3.

“We were talking about regrets earlier — I’ve been thinking about the biggest one,” she told her best friend Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi during a heart-to-heart later in the episode.

“Roger?” Nicole asked.

“Yeah,” Jenni said. “I’m going through it with the divorce. It’s been almost a year since I filed. When you get divorced, you’re supposed to be celebrating and start a new chapter, but it’s really heartbreaking. And it’s stressful, the up and down battle of figuring out custody issues. I just don’t know when it gets better.”

“He’s the f—ing worst,” Nicole said. “But you always knew it wasn’t right.”

After almost three years of marriage, Jenni, 34, filed for divorce from Mathews, 44, in September 2018. Though they continued to spend time together as a family after the divorce filing, even celebrating their three-year wedding anniversary that October, the relationship took a downward turn in December, when Jenni filed for a restraining order against Mathews after the two got into an argument.

On Thursday’s episode, Jenni said her kids were giving her strength amid the acrimonious split.

“I’s just really hard,” she said. “They’re my bliss as I’m suffering. … It’s more than exhausting — it can mentally break someone. I just want peace.”

The exes did eventually manage to put the animosity behind them and finalized their divorce proceedings this past August, with her rep telling PEOPLE at the time that they “reached an amicable conclusion” and “remain devoted to co-parenting their children in a happy and healthy environment.”

YG Says ‘I Love Kehlani’ After Footage Surfaces of Rapper Cozying Up to Another Woman in LA

YG wants to make one thing clear: he loves Kehlani.

The 29-year-old rapper declared his love for the 24-year-old “Good Thing” singer after he was allegedly caught getting cozy with another woman in Los Angeles this week.

“I love Kehlani,” YG wrote on his Instagram Story Thursday. “I would never.”

YG’s statement comes after The Shade Room published footage of what appears to be the rapper having an up-close and personal conversation with a female fan outside of Poppy Nightclub in L.A.

In the video, the woman approaches what appears to be YG’s car and leans in. Eventually, the man, identified by fans as YG, opens the car door and the woman takes a seat on his lap.

A rep for YG did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Later on Thursday, reps for the rapper told The Shade Room that the impromptu rendezvous was “a drunken moment.”

“He was drunk, got carried away and it was very regretful for putting himself in that situation and hurting Kehlani,” the statement said. “He has no romantic connection to the girl, just a drunken moment carried away.”

Kehlani hasn’t commented on the incident, but seemingly deleted an Instagram photo of the pair that had been posted on Wednesday.

The duo confirmed their relationship in September at Kith’s New York Fashion Week show, where they walked in hand-in-hand. When reporters asked the “Gangsta” singer if their date night meant their relationship was “official,” Kehlani coyly confirmed the news by saying “Mhmm.”

After the show, the songstress shared a string of photos on Instagram of YG giving her a sweet kiss on the cheek, writing in the caption, “cats out the bag. ”

The relationship surprised some fans, as both Kehlani and YG welcomed babies this year with other people.

Kehlani welcomed daughter Adeya Nomi in March, who she shares with guitarist Javie Young-White. The new mother revealed that little Adeya was born at home, calling her first child her “angel.”

In the latest and final trailer for Jumanji: The Next Level, Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart are back and better than ever.

During their second adventure, the group discovers that the video game world is different from what they’ve seen before. This time, Danny DeVito and Danny Glover, Spencer’s grandfather and his elderly friend, arrive in the game as Johnson and Hart’s avatars, creating confusion for the foursome. Spencer is portrayed by actor Alex Wolff.

“Would you look at me I haven’t looked like this since—,” Johnson, impersonating DeVito’s character, said before being interrupted by Hart’s impersonation of Glover.

“Never. You’ve never looked like this,” Hart says.

Looking closely at his muscled physique, Johnson replies, “I think my eyes are a different color.”

“All of you is a different color,” Hart says in a quipping comeback.

The film also sees the return of Wolff, Karen Gillan, Jack Black, Nick Jonas, Morgan Turner and Madison Iseman, as well as the newcomer to the series Awkwafina.

The new players will have to brave the elements to escape the dangers that lurk and save the land of Jumanji while looking for their friends.

The first film in the series, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle was a surprise smash hit. The reboot of the 1995 film starring Robin Williams grossed over $962 million worldwide when it was released in December 2017, just in time for the peak holiday movie season.

The film will be in theaters on December 13, 2019.

Sofia Richie Sends 'Love and Prayers' to Those Affected by California Fires After 'Insensitive' Caption

Sofia Richie is offering support to those displaced by the California wildfires this week after posting a photo that some of her followers found insensitive.

On Tuesday, Richie, 21, shared a heartfelt message on her Instagram Story writing, “Sending my love and prayers to everyone affected by the fires.”

Alongside a broken heart GIF, Richie continued: “Tonight’s wind is going to be brutal. Please stay safe.”

Just hours before sending her well wishes, the model found herself in hot water with fans after she posted a pair of photos on Instagram that showed her posing in a baggy white t-shirt, snakeskin pants and black peep-toe heels. She swept her blonde hair up into a top knot.

However, it wasn’t the actual photo that prompted backlash, but instead the caption.

“Santa Ana winds- messy bun ” Richie wrote, and in light of the chaos, some Instagram users called her casual mention of the Santa Ana winds “insensitive.”

The strongest Santa Ana wind event of the season was expected Wednesday, ABC7 reported, and it was high winds that caused a tree branch to fall onto a city power line and ignite the Getty Fire.

The Los Angeles Fire Department said Wednesday that “winds are forecasted to be 30-50 mph with peak wind gusts up to 70 mph,” and that Los Angeles is facing “an extreme fire weather threat, meaning that conditions are as dangerous for fire growth and behavior as we have seen in recent years.”

Richie continued to speak about the fires on Wednesday, sharing a video of a local ABC7 station report on the Brush Fire in Simi Valley, and writing “No!!!” atop the clip.

She also shared a video that demonstrated just how windy it is in Los Angeles, showing water from her pool whipping up into the air.

“My God,” she can be heard saying. “This is… woah. A little scared, a little scared.”

Several other celebrities have been offering encouraging words to those in the danger zone, and are urging people to heed firefighters’ warnings.

“#GettyFire This is what we woke up too,” Sex and the City star Kristin Davis said in a tweet Monday, including a photo of an orange sky. “We are safe- children and dogs. Thank you @LAFDwest and please everyone leave if you are in evacuation area. Stay safe.”

Busy Phillips said on Twitter, “All my friends in LA, I love you, stay safe, please leave with your pets if you are told you need to.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger said Monday that he was one of the many forced to evacuate, and told anyone in an evacuation zone to “get out.”

“We evacuated safely at 3:30 this morning. If you are in an evacuation zone, don’t screw around. Get out. Right now I am grateful for the best firefighters in the world, the true action heroes who charge into the danger to protect their fellow Californians. #GettyFire”

LeBron James also had to evacuate, and wrote on Twitter, “I for all the families in the area that could be affected by these now! Pretty please get to safety ASAP.”

Nash, 49, and Tucker concluded by thanking fans for their support throughout their marriage.

The Claws actress and Tucker, an electrical engineer, got engaged in 2010.

“I have to say, this second time around, it feels custom,” Nash said about her engagement to Tucker. “Even after I got my divorce, the ink wasn’t even dry on the paper, and I said, ‘Ooh, the next time I become a wife, I got this thing down pat!’ I always believed that there was someone built for me.”

Months later, the pair tied the knot at an outdoor afternoon ceremony at the Church Estate Vineyard in Malibu in May 2011.

Earlier that year, the When They See Us star told PEOPLE that regardless of someone’s age, it is “never too late” to fall in love.

“There’s a lot of women out there, some of whom are my age who’ve never been married and some who have been married and would like to be married again but think their ship has sailed, and I’m like, ‘Oh no, honey, let Miss Niecy show you it is never too late for love!’ ” she said.

She was divorced in 2007 her first husband, Don Nash, with whom she shares three children.

Gina Kirschenheiter Admits She Slept with Her Ex-Husband Months Before Domestic Violence Charges

Gina Kirschenheiter had a self-described “setback” in her ongoing divorce from her estranged husband Matt Kirschenheiter on Tuesday’s Real Housewives of Orange County.

The Bravo star — who shares daughter Sienna, 5, and sons Nicholas, 7, and Luca, 4 with Matt — revealed to her fellow Orange County Housewives that she and Matt had sex, after a night out.

News of Gina and Matt’s hookup had already spread amongst the Housewives, after a friend of Tamra Judge’s caught Gina and Matt making out on said date.

Confronted about it, Gina, 35, downplayed everything. “News travels so fast around here!” she joked. “You can’t even make out with your own damn husband without being caught! We should have gotten takeout!”

But later in the episode, which was taped in March, Gina fessed up.

“Matt wanted to go to dinner and we ended up having a really good time,” she told Emily Simpson and Braunwyn Windham-Burke, before coyly admitting, “we might have slept together…”

Asked how she felt about things, Gina initially called it “a setback.” But later, she revealed that she was still on the fence about where she and Matt stood.

“I kind of feel like, I’m in control of it,” Gina said. “I think we could be good together. I just don’t know if I’ll be able to trust him.”

Gina had expressed similar mixed feelings about getting back together with Matt on a previous episode of RHOC earlier this month, explaining that her children were a driving force in those feeling.

“I don’t want to have any regrets because of my kids,” she said. “ part of me gets stressed about that because, now what, I’m making the decision whether my family stays together or not?”

“Your heart is like, ‘I want this for you, I want this for me, I want this for us, I want this for our children,’ but then your brain is like, ‘Don’t fall for this romance novel situation,’ ” Gina added. “Ultimately, I will regret it if I don’t follow my heart, even if this is not the smartest decision.”

Those feelings became even cleared on Tuesday’s RHOC, as Gina learned through testing that her daughter Sienna’s sensory integration issues were affecting her fine motor skills.

“I’m concerned about Sienna. She has regressed at school and her teacher is not sure she’s going to be where she needs to be when she goes into kindergarten and this is terrifying to me,” Gina said.

Overall, Gina blamed herself for the problem.

“I feel like Sienna has been a little neglected in this transition. Matt’s not around and it’s really been affecting all the kids,” Gina said. “I do feel like I’ve dropped the ball on this. I feel like it’s my fault because I felt like I did something wrong or I failed to see something with one of my kids.”

She added: “I do have a lot going on at home. That’s part of what makes me think I should get back together with Matt, because things are slipping. It’s overwhelming and I’m just not enough for everybody. It’s really hard.”

College sweethearts, Gina and Matt were together for 11 years and married for eight before separating in April 2018 and filing for divorce.

Initially, Gina insisted that the two had grown apart, were parting on good terms and would be co-parenting together — telling PEOPLE last September that Matt was still her “best friend” and “the most important person to me.”

They even appeared to reconcile in June, with Gina posting a loving message to Matt on his birthday and insisting, “I’m your person and you’re mine.”

But days later, on June 22, the two had a heated argument at Gina’s home in which Matt allegedly choked her, hit her, dragged her, threw her and threatened to kill her — all while their three young kids were sleeping in the other room, according to court documents obtained by The Blast. Cops were called after Gina ran to the the neighbors for help, and Matt was arrested.

A temporary restraining order was granted at that same time. In the paperwork for that, Gina alleged that there had been “other incidents that have scared in the past … too many to remember,” including an argument in August 2018 involving a shotgun.

Gina has also claimed on this season of RHOC that Matt cheated on her and was still in a relationship with the woman.

Matt has also not responded to Gina’s cheating allegations, but in September, pleaded not guilty after the Orange County District Attorney’s Office slapped him with two felony charges for the alleged incident.

If convicted, he would face up to four years imprisonment for domestic violence, and an additional three for false imprisonment.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, Matt allegedly “inflicted corporal injury resulting in a traumatic condition” upon Gina. He was also charged with false imprisonment, for allegedly grabbing Gina and dragging her on the pavement back into the house after she fled for support.

“The charges are just that, they’re just allegations,” Matt’s attorney, Ed Welbourn, told PEOPLE in a statement. “These type of cases, domestic violence type cases when there are are no independent witnesses, it’s a 1:1 situation and it really comes down to a credibility call.”

Welbourn continued: “Matt is a great dad, always has been. He’s a hardworking guy, has always provided for them. He’s an incredibly good person, and he’s very respected in the community. There’s also a divorce proceeding going on, he has unmonitored visitation — a decision that was made before this alleged incident. If Gina or the judge thought he was a danger, they would have not agreed to that. He’s not a violent person, he doesn’t have a history of that. He maintains his innocence and looks forward to the truth coming out and his day in court.”

Matt and Gina are still working through the terms of their ongoing divorce with the legal system.

In August, the two appeared to have come to a custody agreement, with Gina getting primary physical custody of their kids and nearly $10,000 in monthly support (they’d share legal custody, and Matt would see the kids on the weekends).

The two agreed to take one counseling co-parenting class per month together, too, and said they wouldn’t disparage each other in front of their kids or on RHOC. Future boyfriends/girlfriends wouldn’t be introduced to the kids without consulting with the other first, they determined.

But that same month, Matt filed court documents obtained by PEOPLE saying that his arrest had led to a “forced resignation” from his job as a financial account manager — the same job that wouldn’t allow him to appear on RHOC in the first place (he’s never been seen on the show).

Matt’s change in employment status, he claimed, meant that he was no longer making the income necessary to pay Gina. Her RHOC salary made her the primary moneymaker, he said.

As they wait to figure that out, Gina still has compassion for Matt

“There is a part of my heart that feels bad for Matt because he wasn’t really a part of this to begin with and he’s not a monster,” Gina said back in September, during a visit to PEOPLE Now. “It’s an emotional time, and people make mistakes. He’s made a lot of them, obviously.”

She went on to stress that she and Matt’s disagreements aren’t over their children.

“There is actually no custody battle, there really is not,” she said. “Even with things going on with Matt, as they are now, he actually has more custody than he’s ever had because he’s not employed anymore, so he’s around.”

“We’re really good on that,” she said, adding that their kids are doing well. “I would never keep the kids from him. He’s a really good dad.”

Gina has also started a new relationship with boyfriend Travis Mullen.

“We just really clicked from very early on,” she told PEOPLE Now. “We have the same perspective on a lot stuff and a lot of the same values. We really make each other laugh. We’re both just goofballs. It works.”

“I just know he’s a person that’s extremely trustworthy, extremely loyal,” she said.

This Is Us: Jennifer Morrison Elaborates on Steamy Kiss — and What's Next for Cassidy and Kevin

This Is Us delivered a heartwarming episode, titled “The Club,” that had audiences grabbing tissues for happy tears rather than the sob fests many have repeatedly come to love.

And fans who ship Kevin (Justin Hartley) and Cassidy (Jennifer Morrison) finally got what they had been hoping for. After a heated argument with her estranged husband Ryan (Nick Wechsler), who previously told Kevin to “stay the hell away” from his wife, Cassidy came to Kevin’s trailer and found herself impulsively kissing him — an act that led to more sparks flying in the bedroom.

As viewers wonder what happens next between the two, Morrison tells PEOPLE that her character’s relationship with the men in her life gets even more “complicated.”

“I just like the way that plays out when it does happen only because I feel like the circumstances line up to make it feel very human. What happens and how it happens, why it happens, to me feels very human,” Morrison explains. “She’s very hurt at that moment. She doesn’t know where else to turn and she decides to do something that is so out of character for her. I felt like the writing really led her to that moment in a way that made sense to me.”

Though fans did not witness the fight between Cassidy and Ryan, Morrison says their relationship took a turn for the worse. “She’s just been so deeply hurt, finding out that her husband is so disappointed in her and he really does feel like they’re not going to make things work. She knows her temper got provoked and she knows she wasn’t her best self in that conversation. She feels like she really is losing everything in this unbelievable low,” the actress shares.

And then there’s Kevin. “Instead of making her feel worse about it or not knowing what to say, he knows exactly what she needs to hear. I don’t know if she’s ever had a moment like that in her life. So when someone guesses the exact thing to say in a moment like that, it changes you,” Morrison says.

“This was a guy she was so skeptical of at first and kind of made fun of — she had a pointed perspective of how odd his life was compared to someone else — yet she feels so at ease with him and so at home with him. So that I think is going to be so complicated,” the star foreshadows.

Though AA discourages romantic relationships in the first year of one’s sobriety, the Once Upon a Time alum can’t help but feel happy for Cassidy.

“What makes out of character for her is that she’s such a measured person, she’s always operating from a place of risk assessment. For her to have had the job in the military, she had to operate from that place all the time to survive and in order for her to keep her fellow soldiers alive with her. She’s wired for that precise decision making,” the actress describes of Cassidy’s military background.

Now “she’s in a moment here for the first time in her life, she makes a selfish decision. And I don’t mean selfish in a negative way: she’s acting on what she feels in the moment and not overthinking what the repercussions are,” Morrison says. “She just knows that she’s admitted something very vulnerable to someone at the lowest she’s felt and this person looks at her, says something to fill her up and makes her so much better. Instead of her walking away from that or shutting down, she leans into it. It’s super out of character for her to take the joy at that moment instead of turning away and shutting it down.”

Morrison, who has been a longtime fan of the family drama, anticipates many reactions after that intimate scene, including from her own family and friends. “I think I’m going to get a lot of text messages after this episode. I have a feeling,” she laughs.

“I think people are going to make a lot of different assumptions about the future based on this episode. I can’t say if these assumptions are right or wrong but I think there are going to be a lot of assumptions flying around,” Morrison adds, alluding to the season 3 finale and the mystery of who is the mother of Kevin’s future son.

Though Kevin told his uncle that he’ll be in Bradford for a few more weeks for Nicky’s court hearing, will he be extending his stay for Cassidy?

“Obviously, in terms of seeing how all this gets walked out after that , it’s a whole different thing because you are dealing with repercussions. What does this mean for their friendship? And what does this mean for her marriage ending or not ending?” Morrison teases. “What does that mean once he has actually followed through with a physical connection when you’ve already been feeling an emotional connection?”

Contestant Diana quickly buzzed in to answer, “Who is Lizzo?” to which Trebek answered, “Yeah!”

Fashion designer Marc Jacobs commented on the post, encouraging Lizzo in her excitement.

Last week, Lizzo’s “Truth Hurts” was turned into a spooky Halloween anthem by New York-based actress Gina Naomi Baez, who gave the chart-topper a Hocus Pocus-themed twist.

Tarzan Actor Ron Ely's Son Cameron Was Shot 24 Times by Police Unarmed After Claiming He Had a Weapon

New details have emerged regarding the gruesome California murder that occurred earlier this month involving Tarzan actor Ron Ely, his wife Valerie Ely and their son Cameron Ely.

In a press release obtained by PEOPLE on Tuesday, a spokesperson for the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office confirms that Cameron, 30, was shot 24 times by authorities after claiming that he had a gun and motioning at police.

Officials were initially called to the family’s Hope Ranch home on Oct. 15 by Cameron, after he had allegedly fatally stabbed his mother and attempted to place the blame on his father.

Responding officers found Valerie, 62, inside the home, “deceased with multiple stab wounds,” and then went looking for Cameron, after his father — who was home at the time of the incident — confirmed that he was the suspect.

“Deputies searched the residence and surrounding area for Cameron Ely. During the search, the murder suspect was located outside the home,” the spokesperson said. “The suspect told deputies that he had a gun, advanced towards the deputies, and motioned with his hands as if he were drawing a weapon.”

“In response, four deputies fired a total of 24 rounds from their service weapons, fatally wounding the suspect,” the spokesperson continued. “When deputies were able to safely approach Cameron using a ballistic shield, they found that he had feigned being armed and did not have a weapon.”

The spokesperson noted that none of the deputies who were involved with the confrontation were injured. Ron also did not suffer any injuries, but was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office is currently conducting criminal, coroner’s and administrative investigations. An autopsy of both Valerie and Cameron is pending.

Cameron was a former quarterback on the Harvard University football team who graduated with a degree in psychology.

He is listed on the 2007 football team’s roster as a freshman quarterback from Phillips Exeter Academy, but he is not listed on the rosters of football teams in subsequent years.

A 2007 Harvard Crimson article on that year’s football recruiting class says Cameron “sports the conventional Harvard-recruited stats: a GPA above 4.0, questionable arm strength and supreme intelligence to go along with his ability to make ‘good decisions,’ according to prominent recruiting Web site Scout.com.”

A Harvard spokesperson previously confirmed to PEOPLE that Cameron graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology on May 24, 2012.

The Los Angeles Times reports Cameron was a licensed security guard for the past two years.

Besides their son Cameron, Ron and Valerie, who wed in 1984, shared two daughters, Kirsten and Kaitland, 32.

The sisters, who are both social media influencers, have yet to speak out about the tragedy, but previously described their adoration for their parents on Instagram and in blog posts.

Prior to marrying Ron, Valerie competed in the Miss Florida competition in 1981 while representing Miami. She went on to compete in the Miss USA beauty pageant later that year, but did not win.

She was also a former flight attendant and even won Miss Airlines International, a beauty pageant for flight attendants and other airline employees, in 1980, according to The Miami News.

Ron was a veteran actor who played the role of Tarzan from 1966 to 1968.

He also starred in the iconic seventies show Fantasy Island and the 1975 film Doc Savage: The Man of Iron and Bronze. Additionally, he hosted the Miss America pageant in the 1980s.

After getting married to Valerie, Ron took a break from acting to focus on raising their children. More recently, he had a role in the 2014 television movie Expecting Amish.

Jenna Johnson was back for her fifth season as a pro dancer on Dancing with the Stars — and was partnered with Queer Eye‘s Karamo Brown. Every week, Jenna gave readers an inside look at their journey, including the challenges and laughs they shared. Now, she reflects on their elimination and how Brown “left his mark” on the show.

We were really excited this week because we had Paso Doble and Karamo had been looking forward to this dance since the beginning of the season. We were also really excited because Karamo got to dance to not only one Beyoncé song, but two – our individual dance to “Survivor” by Destiny’s Child, and our group dance to “Sweet Dreams” by Beyoncé. Rehearsal week was really intense because this was the first week we had to learn two dances. It was also the first time that we had to dance with other couples in a group setting that we weren’t accustomed to, which was a fun challenge but was a lot to focus on in one week. Not to mention it was Halloween night, so there was a lot of character, makeup, costumes, props, and spooky intensity.

Halloween is one of Karamo’s favorite holidays, so he was up for the challenge and ready to be a scary skeleton for our Paso Doble. It didn’t hurt that our makeup, hair and wardrobe department absolutely killed (pun intended) our looks. The judges mentioned that Karamo brought his intensity and Carrie Ann said that he was a “sonic boom” on the dance floor, and I couldn’t agree more. Karamo fully embraced the character, the styling and the essence of Paso.

For our team dance we were on Team Treat, which was made up of Karamo, Kell, Kate and Sean. We definitely were the underdog team going into it and we knew it, but that gave our celebrities even more drive to really work hard this week and nail the routine. They all stepped up to the plate, and worked as a team to create the best performance they could, and I think they all rose to the occasion – especially Kate being the only girl, and having to match three professional girls (Lindsey, Witney and myself). That made us all really proud of her. It was really sweet because the three men on our team became this little bromance, and every second we would turn around on set and the three of them would be practicing together. It was really sweet to see the comradery between Karamo, Kell and Sean on the dance floor.

Karamo and I got great scores and were feeling really confident, but sadly we did end up in the bottom two with Kate and Pasha. I think one of the reasons I’m not as devastated as I thought I would be is because Karamo absolutely nailed his piece and we went out with a bang. He really left his mark and entire heart on the dance floor, and I think America saw that. I would say that this is one of the strongest, most talented casts we’ve had in years, so it was a really tough competition and I think anyone could have gone home – that’s how tight it is. Obviously I did not want it to be us, but it was and I am so proud of every single one of these performances, and the two and a half months I’ve got to spend with Karamo. From secretly practicing in Philadelphia on the set of Queer Eye, to going on an undercover Maui rehearsal trip with Karamo and his fiancé before the premiere, to getting to know Karamo to his core and really growing to love him, this journey has been one that I wouldn’t replace for the world.

Taylor Swift Celebrates National Cat Day with Her Beloved Kitties: 'Hug Your Cat Today'

Happy National Cat Day from Taylor Swift!

The “Lover” singer, 29, celebrated the holiday with a bevy of photos shared on Instagram of her three feline friends: Benjamin Button, Olivia Benson, and Meredith Grey (the latter two kitties are named after the Law & Order: SVU and Grey’s Anatomy characters played by Mariska Hargitay and Ellen Pompeo, respectively).

“Hug your cat today. Or don’t, if your cat hates hugs. But anyway. Happy #NationalCatDay from me, Olivia, Meredith, and Benjamin. ,” she wrote in the caption for a black-and-white photo of herself snuggling up with Olivia.

On her Instagram Stories, Swift shared several more pictures of her three felines.

In the first, she shared another photo of Olivia, but this time the Scottish fold cat was sprawled out on the floor (in an optimum position to receive some belly rubs). “It’s cat day let’s do this,” Swift wrote atop the photo, adding the National Cat Day hashtag.

The next slide on her Stories showed two of the cat siblings lounging on a rug, as Swift mimed their voices to say “will you play with me?” and “no.” She also highlighted the fact that her doormat says “I hope you like cats.”

Other photos shared by the “You Need to Calm Down” singer included Benjamin posing (“Benjamin why are you a model,” Swift wrote alongside one particularly cute photo) and Meredith and Olivia lounging and purring next to each other.

Swift also shared a sweet photo of Benjamin sleeping in her arms on the set of her “ME!” music video, which is where she met and decided to adopt her third pet.

But Benjamin isn’t the only of Swift’s cats to appear on screen — Meredith and Olivia had a cameo in Deadpool 2 starring Ryan Reynolds. The two kitties appeared on a graphic tee worn by Reynolds in the movie, which came out last May.

Look out, New York City — Lizzie is back!

Hilary Duff showed off the very first photo of herself as Lizzie McGuire in the show’s forthcoming reboot on Tuesday, while simultaneously celebrating the first day of filming in the Big Apple.

Duff, 32, couldn’t contain her excitement in the image, which was snapped in Washington Square Park, as she beamed in front of the park’s famous arches.

Staying true to her character’s fashion, the actress wore a black and gold checkered outfit with black boots. Duff also accessorized the look with a matching gold coat and multiple necklaces.

That wasn’t the only sneak peek at what Lizzie’s new life will be like. Disney+, the network behind the beloved series’ reboot, also shared an exclusive snap of Duff in character on Tuesday.

In the shot, Duff was captured walking through the park — this time, holding an oversized, white, stuffed alpaca over her shoulder.

“Alpaca your bags! #LizzieMcGuire, an original series coming soon to #DisneyPlus, is heading to the Big Apple for the next chapter in Lizzie’s story. Check out this exclusive photo from the first day of production,” the network wrote on Instagram.

In response to their post, Duff jokingly wrote back, “The alpacas name is Henry. And she really kept a girl warm today”

Duff recently got fans excited about the upcoming reboot when she revealed last week that her on-screen family would also be returning for the series.

Hallie Todd, Robert Carradine and Jake Thomas are set to reprise their roles as mom Jo, dad Sam and brother Matt McGuire. The cast even convened for the first time in 15 years for a read-through of the reboot’s first episode in a photo shared on Instagram.

“We are standing in what will soon be the McGuire living room,” Duff wrote beside the happy snap. “What’s up fam. We doin this #lizziemcguire #disneyplus.”

The original series, which ran from 2001 to 2004 and was created by Terri Minsky, followed 13-year-old Lizzie, who dreamt of being popular in school, as her animated alter ego represented her true feelings.

The show was later made into a 2003 film, The Lizzie McGuire Movie, in which Lizzie went on a trip of a lifetime to Rome, Italy, following her 8th-grade graduation and got mistaken for an international pop star.

The new Lizzie McGuire series will revolve around Lizzie as a 30-year-old millennial navigating life in New York City. Original series creator Terri Minsky will serve as showrunner on the series.

Disney first announced that Duff would return for the reboot as the titular character during the D23 Expo convention in August.

“The good news is, just like me and everybody who loved Lizzie and has grown up with her, Lizzie’s also grown up,” Duff said on stage about the revival, Entertainment Weekly reported. “She’s older, she’s wiser, she has a much bigger shoe budget, which is super exciting. She has her dream job. She has kind of the perfect life right now.”

“She’s working as an apprentice to a fancy New York City decorator,” said Duff. “She has her dream guy, who owns a cool SoHo restaurant. She has her dream apartment in Brooklyn. And she’s getting ready to celebrate her 30th birthday.”

Duff additionally confirmed that the animated alter ego of Lizzie’s inner thoughts will return. “She is still dealing with that 13-year-old no-holds-barred animated Lizzie that’s constantly babbling in her adult Lizzie head,” she said. “So she has to deal with that. But I think that’s what’s going to make it really special.”

Shortly after sharing the big news, Duff spoke to PEOPLE and said despite playing Lizzie for years, she was nervous about revisiting the beloved character and getting back into her headspace.

“I’m not gonna lie: I’m a little intimidated,” she admitted to PEOPLE. “I’m like, ‘Where is she in there?’ She is in there; she is me. When I was 13, it was such a big part of me … I just have to tap into that and be very authentic to that.”

The couple surprised fans when they tied the knot on Oct. 21. Minaj announced the news earlier this month with a video on Instagram.

Though they wed recently, Minaj began referring to Petty as her “husband” before the pair officially “I do.”

“Every night when I get out of the shower, my husband takes this really good lotion that we just bought, and he massages my feet, and rubs them, and he rubs each toe individually, and the heel, and the ball of my foot, and he does it all,” Minaj said in an episode of her Beats 1 show Queen Radio, which was recorded from London ahead of her March 14 concert in Birmingham.
