After Salman Khan expressed reservations working with Priyanka Chopra, SLB registers another film by the name Gangubai?

After a hiatus of 7 years, Salman Khan is all set to collaborate with his Saawariya director Sanjay Leela Bhansali for a romantic film. Needless to say, the news of their reunion came as a huge surprise to fans who were in for a bigger surprise when reports of Shah Rukh Khan joining the gang surfaced.

A source told DNA, "It is believed that Shah Rukh will be roped in for a pivotal part in the Salman-Sanjay film. Considering that the last time the two superstars did a film together was Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam (2002), notwithstanding SRK s cameo in Tubelight (2007) and Salman's in Zero (2018), the two Khans in a Bhansali film will attract audiences to theatres." We don't know about you but we are glued in to find out more about the project!

But while that is that, another SLB dream project might just come to fruition. According to the Deccan Chronicle, the director has gone ahead and registered the title Gangubai with the Indian Motion Pictures Producers Association (IMPPA). Let us remind you, speculations were rife that Priyanka Chopra would play female gangster Gangubai Kothewali, who was also known as the Madame of Kamathipura and the buzz still remains the same. An insider was quoted saying, "Bhansali would not just register a title for the sake of it. The script has been with him for a while and he may well get PC to do that film. Sometimes the media does put two and two together to figure out if Salman and PC are in the same film a chance they missed out recently on Bharat. So, in all probability PC will be Gangubai."

Apparently supposed to be titled Heera Mandi initially and Priyanka is likely to play a lady don in the movie. It is interesting to point out that this comes out at the time amidst reports of Salman not keen on Bhansali casting PeeCee for the film they are about to make because of their fallout after Bharat. Meanwhile, Priyanka would next be seen in Shonali Bose's The Sky is Pink alongside Farhan Akhtar and Salman is gearing up for the big-ticket release of Bharat with Katrina Kaif.
