At a time when her contemporaries like Sara Ali Khan, Ananya Panday are signing multiple projects, Janhvi Kapoor seems to be taking it easy. After making an impressive debut with Dharma Productions' Dhadak alongside Ishaan Khatter, the Kapoor kid has offers coming her way, but she is being carefully in selecting her roles. According to Mumbai Mirror, Janhvi was offered a film with a double role, one a serious avatar and the other a flighty one, but she turned it down. Reason? She didn t want comparisons to her mother Sridevi s iconic double role in Chaalbaaz. Janhvi's team however has a different story to tell. According to them, no such role was ever offered to her.
She will soon be seen in another KJo production where she will play the part of IAF officer Gunjan Saxena in her biopic titled Kargil Girl. Janhvi was recently spotted at a studio in full getup, ready to board her flight as Gunjan Saxena. Angad Bedi has been signed to play her brother Anshuman Saxena. Reportedly, the duo have been in Lucknow shooting for the film where they were spotted on the streets of Nirala Nagar while they danced on the hit Ram Lakhan song, One Two Ka Four. "They recreated Anil s iconic steps during the late-night shoot. Angad plays an army officer, like Gunjan s real-life brother Anshuman was, while Pankaj Tripathi plays their father," Mumbai Mirror quoted a source.
Thereafter, the 22-year-old actress has Takht and Rannbhoomi, also produced by Johar. Watch this space for more updates...
