Now, you have got to admit Bollywood is one big family! Yes, there is nepotism, there is favouritism and campism and more isms that we might not know of, but at the end of the day, there is also an abundance of love that is re-defining modern-age relationships, to be honest. Like, finding companionship after a loveless marriage or as the taboo goes 'divorce' but again, that's something we have discussed. But what we haven't, is the other side of the spectrum where bonds are not couple-specific but extends to la Familia in forms of affection that sure must feel like warm hugs. Okay, we might be getting sentimental here but baat sentimental hi hai.
If you haven't guessed it yet, we are talking about B-town step-parent/child relationships that have dropped the word 'step' from the dynamics for some time now. And dare we complain! In fact, we are here to raise a toast to some benchmarks and stars who have set them in ways by just being themselves. It might not come naturally, but the way these tinsel townies have conducted themselves with and around the kids of their partners says a lot about them. Good news is, we have a couple of them.
Kareena Kapoor Khan - Sara Ali Khan
How cool! That's all we think when we see or read about Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sara Ali Khan's equation. They know their places in each other's lives and are comfortable where they are. Like Sara once said on Koffee With Karan, Bebo doesn't try to be her mom and instead is a friend which is respect-worthy. And need we say how much she adores little Taimur? It goes without saying that the Pataudi parivaar is an ultra cool fam where there is space for everyone to just be!
Arjun Kapoor Arhaan Khan
From shying away from the public eye to stepping out like no one's watching, Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora have come a long way. What's more commendable is the way they have done it - by considering Malla's son Arhaan's comfort before anything. They were recently spotted having lunch, one could see the love and mutual respect.
Shibani Dandekar - Akira Akhtar
Now, we don't have pictures of the two bonding but if industry talks are anything to go by, Farhan Akhtar's kiddo Akira is really fond of Shibani Dandekar. Rumours of marriage even fueled a lot of theories, but the only constant was how they have her blessing. Here's hoping we get a picture of them real soon!
Rohman Shawl - Renee and Alisha Sen
This picture sums it all really well. Sushmita Sen is a single parent to her baby girls Renee and Alisah, but thank God she has a loving partner to seek comfort when she wants to. Not that she has ever been a victim, but Rohman Shawl's rapport with her kids must feel like home to her! After all, that's all that matters, no?
