So, as you already know Oscars 2019 are happening right now and awards are being given out as we speak! A little while ago we told how the team of Greg Cannom, Kate Biscoe and Patricia DeHaney have won the Oscar for makeup and hairstyling in Vice after they transformed Christian Bale into former Vice President Dick Cheney. Rishi Kapoor even took to Twitter to wish him Cannom, his Kapoor & Sons MU designer on his fourth competitive win at the coveted Academy Awards. The veteran actor took to Twitter and wrote, "Congratulations Greg Cannom for your fourth Oscar for the film Vice. You did Kapoor& Sons with me. Bravo!"
Well, while that was that and it gave us joy for the Indian connection it had, there's something even bigger and better that, for a matter of fact, is not surprising it all. Guneet Monga's who has gone on to produce films like documentary on menstruation, Period. The End of Sentence has bagged an Oscars under Documentary Short Subject category!

The producer who has produced films like Masaan, Lunchbox is at the coveted 91st Academy Awards and darn right, she is bringing the trophy home. the film set in India, is on the taboos around menstruation and featuring the real 'Pad Man'. It had made it to the cut and faught other nominations like 'Black Sheep', 'End Game', 'Lifeboat' and 'A Night At The Garden'. Directed by award-winning Iranian-American filmmaker Rayka Zehtabchi, it has been created by The Pad Project which is an organisation established by an inspired group of students at the Oakwood School in Los Angeles and their teacher, Melissa Berton.
