‘Please don’t use me to promote racism,’ says Sophie Turner SLAMMING a racist Sansa Stark meme

Twitter is filled with memes. Every day, we come across some funny memes and some nasty ones as well. Recently, a meme promoting racism was doing the rounds. The meme featured an image of Sophie Turner s Game of Thrones character Sansa Stark. The international actress was turned off by racist meme and decided to put an end to it before it spreads further. The actress retweeted the post wherein an image of Sansa was used to spread the message, purity in race and culture adding do it right, date and marry white.

The actress shared the now-deleted post and wrote, Ew. Please don t use me to promote racism. The post has not only been deleted but Twitter has suspended the account which had about 600 followers. Fans are applauding Sophie for shutting the meme down. Queen Sansa deserves to be respected, said a fan. Yes queen! Put them in check, said another Sophie s followers. Sophie will be seen playing Sansa Stark for one last time in Game of Thrones season 8 this summer. The actress featured in the teasers shared by HBO and it has ignited a lot of curiosity. However, that wouldn t be the only time we see Sophie this year. The actress will be seen in X-Men: Dark Phoenix scheduled to release later this year. She plays Jean Grey in the movie. We saw a glimpse of it in the trailer released last year.

The actress got a tattoo of fire on her finger in the honour of her movie. She shared the picture of the tattoo with the caption: Phoenix-ing out
