Kim Kardashian Farewells 2019 by Taking Saint & North for a New Year's Eve Ski Session in Wyoming

Kim Kardashian West wrapped up 2019 with a skiing trip to Wyoming, where her husband, Kanye West, purchased two ranches earlier this year.

In pictures posted to her Instagram Story on Tuesday, Kim is seen enjoying the cold weather with daughter North, 6½, and son Saint, 4. Kanye and the couple’s other two children — son Psalm, 7 months, and daughter Chicago, 2 — seemingly stayed warm while the rest of the family hit the slopes.

In the photographs, Kim and Saint are seen bundled up in snow gear and having fun, while another shows the 39-year-old talking to North as she slides down a slope with a big smile on her face.

Another up-close picture of Saint shows him breathing in the mountain air.

“Perfect New Years in Wyoming,” she wrote in a short video posted to her story.

In November, Kanye paid nearly $15 million to purchase his second ranch in the state, according to Business Insider. The 6,700-acre ranch includes a five-bedroom, four-bathroom main house, along with three cabins.

The purchase came two months after Kanye bought Monster Lake Ranch for $14 million.

While Kanye wasn’t pictured on the slopes, Kim posted a picture to her Instagram of the two kissing (in much warmer weather).

“To lots of love in 2020,” Kim captioned the photo.

The West family recently came together with other members of Kardashian West’s famous brood to celebrate Christmas, when they all gathered at Kourtney Kardashian‘s house for Christmas Eve this year.

Kourtney’s home was transformed into a winter wonderland for the occasion — complete with carolers serenading guests as they entered, Santa Claus posing for photos, lots of on-theme treats and even a performance by Sia, who belted her song “Chandelier” for the crowd.

For the evening, Kim was dressed in a snakeskin-like off-the-shoulder gown, while Saint and Kanye, 42, coordinated in all-black velvet ensembles. Psalm and his sister Chicago went for velvet looks, as well (in brown and maroon, respectively), and North rocked a chic pink blazer-and-pants combo.

“Christmas Eve 2019,” the KKW Beauty founder captioned her photos.

While it wasn’t evident from the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star’s initially posted group photos, this year, her oldest child was feeling under the weather for the family’s annual Christmas festivities.

“My poor baby North wasn’t feeling good on Christmas Eve, she had the stomach flu. You can see she wasn’t feeling well but she wanted to go to the party so badly,” Kim captioned another set of photos from the party, in which North looked less than pleased.

“Saint was ready to rock and was so excited to party. Chicago wanted to see an elf but was afraid of Santa and Psalm is a perfect angel baby,” she added.

For Christmas, North’s parents gifted her the exact velvet jacket that Michael Jackson wore while out with Elizabeth Taylor once, plus the white fedora the singer wore in his 1988 “Smooth Criminal” music video. Kardashian West explained that she and West won the jacket in an auction and “North is a really big Michael Jackson fan.”

Republican Senator James Lankford Says Donald Trump Is Not a Good Role Model for Young People

Republican Senator James Lankford of Oklahoma has revealed he does not think Donald Trump is a good role model.

Lankford, 51, said in a recent interview with CBS’s Face The Nation that the president’s vocabulary in speeches and on social media did not set an example for “the way that I’m raising my kids.”

“I don’t think that President Trump as a person is a role model for a lot of different youth,” he in the segment that aired on Sunday. “That’s just me personally. I don’t like the way that he tweets, some of the things that he says. His word choices at times are not my word choices.”

“He comes across with more New York City swagger than I do from the Midwest,” he added.

While Lankford criticized the president’s rhetoric, he admitted he agreed with some of Trump’s policies.

“Saying that, there are policy areas that we agree on, and when we agree on those things we work on those things together,” he added. “But it’s also been a grand challenge to be able to say — for a person of faith, for a person who believes that there is a right way to go on things — I wish he did and was more of a role model in those areas.”

As noted by Time, Lankford — the former director of Student Ministry for the Baptist Convention of Oklahoma — said that he held out hope the party would select a “role model candidate” during the 2016 primaries that saw the likes of Ted Cruz, John Kasich and Marco Rubio vie for the Republican presidential nomination.

“In a campaign year full of lies, personal attacks, vile language and immoral behavior, today was yet another reminder that there is no role model, from either party, running for President this year,” Lankford wrote on his campaign Facebook page before the 2016 election, according to The Oklahoman.

“I think he’s throwing gasoline on the fire with his communications,” he said a year later of Trump’s rhetoric. “I don’t want my children to speak that way. I don’t think it helps.”

Lankford spoke to Face the Nation alongside Democratic Senator Chris Coons of Delaware for a discussion about faith in politics. He said he is continually asked about Trump’s controversial comments by the media and his constituents.

“At the end of the day, what we’re really looking for in an Administration is folks that allow us to be able to live our principles,” Lankford said in the interview.

“The president has a spokesperson and I’m not the president’s spokesperson,” he continued. “One of the interesting things about Washington, D.C. is I don’t get to pick the people that I work with. The American people pick the people that I work with.”

Inside Tyrese Gibson's Private Pajama Birthday Party: 'Best Night Ever'

Tyrese Gibson celebrated his 41st birthday at home in pajamas Monday — but despite the dress code, the event was anything but sleepy.

Instead, it was an evening filled with poetry, laughs and fireworks with his closest friends and family, held at the Gibson Estate located in Atlanta.

“ Sam wanted to do something extraordinary for Tyrese,” event designer Michelle Gainey of Lemiga Events tells PEOPLE exclusively. Gainey previously worked with the Transformers actor to plan Samantha Gibson’s surprise party in October.

Guests arrived at their home on Saturday night, instantly wowed by the gold and white theme, decorated with 50 feet of oversized gold balloons and fringe strung around the spiral staircase. The multi-tiered birthday cake was central in the main atrium.

“He wanted a vibe where everyone was comfortable and cozy,” says Gainey.

And that is what she gave him. Guests arrived in pajamas of all varieties as servers passed around champagne and various bites.

After a toast to the star by former Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed, the party went outdoors for a mind-blowing fireworks display.

Following the light show, the women separated to have some girl time while sipping on cocktails and enjoying massage chairs, as the men moved into a man cave, complete with sports, bonding, cognac, whiskey and cigars.

The group then gathered together once more in a cozy space complete with uplighting, a gold stage, poofs and blankets.

Poets took to the stage for live readings and a psator said blessings for Gibson’s birthday and blessed the new year.

Then partygoers played the game “Men vs. Women.”

The discussions got passionate and thought-provoking with deep conversations that broached topics of marriage and multi-racial relationships.

Gibson was especially thankful for one guest in particular: Joan Pendergrass, wife of late R&B singer Teddy Pendergrass, who Gibson will play in an upcoming Lee Daniels biopic, scheduled for a 2020 release.

She brought along six presents for the star, all belonging to her late husband, one of which was a pair of slippers that happened to be Gibson’s size.

“It means everything to me that you flew in town and showed UP for me,” Gibson wrote on Instagram. “When she walked IN my front door she hugged me and I said look up!! … she started crying when she saw her husband on this powerful painting!!!”

Although the actor said no social media was allowed, he couldn’t help himself from posting: “It was my party and I can break whatever rules I want!!!!!”

A lot has changed for Millie Bobby Brown during the past decade, but her love of Adele remains a constant.

On Tuesday, the Stranger Things actress, 15, got nostalgic about the end of the 2010s by sharing a retrospective on how far she’s progressed in her rise to superstar status.

To accompany her lengthy caption, in which she thanks Netflix and those who gave her career opportunities, Brown shared a throwback video of her at age 7 in 2011, belting her favorite singer (then and now) Adele’s “Someone Like You.”

“At the beginning of this decade I was 6 years old. going to school. making my class listen to me sing 24/7. probably not even thinking about where I’d be at the end of the decade,” she wrote. “This video was taken in 2011 when I was 7 and utterly obsessed with @adele and still utterly obsessed. no change.”

In the clip, Brown sings the Grammy-winning song into a pink microphone, wearing a white headband and a red dress, as footage of Adele, 31, singing live plays on a screen behind the soon-to-be-famous actress.

Entire Class of Corrections Cadets to Be Fired After Being Pictured Doing Apparent Nazi Salute

More than 30 people are set to be fired after a class of corrections officers in training were pictured displaying a Nazi-like salute together.

On Monday, Gov. Jim Justice issued a statement voicing his approval for the recommended disciplinary actions following the investigation by the state’s Department of Military Affairs and Public Safety.

The photograph shows members of the West Virginia Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation Basic Training Class 18 gathered together under the text “Hail Byrd!” each with one hand raised in unison.

Aside from the nearly 30 people shown in the photo, several other employees will be fired or suspended for not reporting the controversial picture.

“As I said from the beginning, I condemn the photo of Basic Training Class 18 in the strongest possible terms,” Justice said in the statement. “I also said that this act needed to result in real consequences — terminations and dismissals.

He added: “This kind of behavior will not be tolerated on my watch in any agency of State government.”

“We have a lot of good people in our Department of Military Affairs and Public Safety,” the governor continued. “But this incident was completely unacceptable. Now, we must continue to move forward and work diligently to make sure nothing like this ever happens again.”

DMAPS secretary Jeff Sandy suggested the terminations to the governor, noting in documents released amid the investigation that those involved “failed to maintain the high level of professionalism demanded by your administration.”

Acknowledging several of the cadets’ claims that they were following orders to participate out of fear of retaliation, Sandy said joining in the display still damaged the department’s reputation.

“… Their conduct, without question, has also resulted in the far-reaching and harmful perceptions that are the antithesis of the values we strive to attain,” Sandy wrote in a memo to Justice. “The inevitable consequence of the conduct has not only damaged the reputation of the Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation but also negatively impacts morale across the workforce.”

Sandy added: “The citizens of West Virginia should be proud of the transparency exercised in the handling of this unfortunate event and how the Commissioner and Inspector General have worked to bring this matter to a quick conclusion.”

Kevin Spacey's Lawyer Denies Actor Paid Money to Dead Man's Family to Settle Sexual Assault Suit

Kevin Spacey is no longer being sued for sexually assaulting a masseur following his accuser’s death.

The former House of Cards actor, 60, was accused of sexual battery, gender violence, battery, assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress and false imprisonment by the alleged victim John Doe, a massage therapist, in 2017. Spacey denied the allegations.

A trial was set to take place in federal court in June 2020, however, on Monday, that case was dismissed after the accuser reportedly died of cancer, on Sept. 6 and his estate filed a notice for dismissal, according to Variety and The Hollywood Reporter.

The outlets reported that the case was settled outside of court. However, the actor’s lawyer says this is not the case.

“Contrary to some news reports, Mr. Spacey paid no money to ‘settle’ the lawsuit,” Spacey’s attorney, Jennifer L. Keller, told The Los Angeles Times. “The plaintiff’s estate simply decided to dismiss the lawsuit with prejudice, meaning it cannot be and we agreed to the dismissal.”

A rep for Spacey did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff and District Attorney’s office had been investigating the masseur’s allegations. However, in October, prosecutors said Spacey would not be facing any criminal charges in the case because the “allegations cannot be proved without participation of the victim,” the Times reported.

The late masseur had claimed he was invited into Spacey’s home in Malibu in October 2016 for a massage, and that the actor told him he was “having some pain or discomfort in his groin area,” according to the closed lawsuit.

As the man began to massage Spacey’s leg, he alleged in the lawsuit that the American Beauty actor grabbed his hand and pulled it onto his groin.

The massage therapist claimed he attempted to give the actor the benefit of the doubt and assumed the actor was trying to direct him toward his source of pain. When he began to massage Spacey’s leg toward his groin, he claimed the actor grabbed his hand again and allegedly forced him to touch his genitals.

The unidentified man alleged that he pulled back and the incident allegedly escalated when Spacey exposed himself to the masseur and attempted to kiss him, according to the lawsuit. The man claimed Spacey also grabbed his genitals over his clothing and offered to perform oral sex on him.

Spacey denied the allegations.

In July a criminal sexual assault case against Spacey was also dropped. In that case, the actor was accused of groping a young man at a Nantucket bar in 2016 also dismissed the lawsuit.

The recent dismissal comes days after the Academy Award-winning actor released another bizarre video portraying his former House of Cards character, Frank Underwood, to wish viewers a Merry Christmas.

Pope Francis Slaps Woman's Hand After She Grabs Him and Refuses to Let Him Go

Pope Francis had a shocking interaction with a female crowd member on Tuesday.

The 82-year-old head of the Catholic Church was proceeding through St. Peter’s Square in Vatican City, shaking hands with spectators as he walked to a nearby nativity scene display when a woman grabbed him, according to Reuters.

In footage of the moment, the pontiff greets the crowd focusing on the children who had gathered to meet him.

When he makes his way down the line, a woman he is set to be in front of next excitedly does the sign of the cross believing she is about to meet the religious leader.

However, the Pope then turns away from the crowd and the woman starts shouting at Pope Francis to get his attention. It is not clear what the woman was saying.

The woman then reaches for his hand before pulling the head of the Catholic Church towards her.

The Pope appears shocked and then angry as he repetitively slaps her hand to free himself from her grip.

He frees himself before his security then also step in to calm the woman.

That was not the only incident during the chaotic evening.

Also on Tuesday, the Pope was seen helping a young boy who fell over the barriers separating the crowds. After checking to see if the child was okay, he kissed the boy on the head and gave him a rosary.

Earlier in the day, Pope Francis tweeted his message to his followers about heading into the new year by reflecting on the year past.

“Let us give thanks to God for His grace, which has sustained us in this past year, and with joy let us raise a song of praise to Him,” he wrote.

At a New Year’s Eve service in St. Peter’s Basilica, the Pope spoke about building bridges and not walls, according to the Associated Press, and impressed upon listeners the need for solidarity among all humans.

“God has never ceased changing the history and the face of our city through the population of the least and the poor who live in it,” he said during the Tuesday service. “He chooses them, inspires them, motivates them to action, makes them united, impels them to create support systems, to create virtuous connections, to build bridges and not walls.”

He concluded his speech by calling on people to “connect with others and listen to what they are living and their cry for help.”

The Battle of Calais took place in the early morning of 1 January 1350, during the Hundred Years' War. Carrie Underwood Reveals She Won't Host the CMA Awards in 2020: 'Time to Pass the Hosting Torch'

Carrie Underwood is passing the torch in 2020.

The “Before He Cheats” singer announced on Instagram on Monday that while hosting the CMA Awards has been a highlight of her “entire career,” she feels that after 12 consecutive years in the position, it’s time to “pass the hosting torch.”

“One of the highlights of 2019 and of my entire career so far was being on stage with the legends that are Reba and Dolly Parton,” Underwood, 36, wrote on the social media platform alongside a photo of herself with the country music legends, as well as another picture with longtime co-host Brad Paisley.

“I’m so proud that we could celebrate the incredible female artists that are part of the legacy of country music, past, present and future, and I’m thankful for the huge audiences all over the world that tuned in to see it,” she continued.

The Grammy-winning artist reflected on more than a decade of hosting the iconic country music show, adding how thankful she is for the experience.

“It’s hard to believe that it was my 12th year hosting and I will always treasure every show, from the 11 that I was so lucky to do with my partner in crime and friend for life, Brad Paisley, to sharing the stage with two of my all-time heroes.”

“I’m so incredibly grateful to everyone involved with the CMA Awards all these years,” Underwood continued. “It’s hard to imagine topping what we have accomplished together, so I’ve decided that it’s time to pass the hosting torch (at least for now!) to others that will cherish it and honor it as much as I do.”

The mother of two concluded by expressing her excitement for 2020, promising fans of projects to come.

“I’ve got so many exciting things coming in the new year and beyond, and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for all of us. #blessed #MemorableMoments,” she finished.

Underwood and Paisley first hosted the CMA Awards together in 2008. Since then, Underwood has snagged seven CMA Awards of her own, and at this year’s awards was nominated for entertainer of the year. Her very first appearance at the awards show was in 2005 after winning American Idol, where she performed “Jesus, Take the Wheel.”

This year, Underwood was joined by Parton and McEntire in her hosting duties instead of Paisley.

The three women kicked off the event with a performance of Parton’s 1987 song, “Those Memories of You,” before being joined by Terri Clark, Sara Evans, Crystal Gayle, Martina McBride, Jennifer Nettles, Tanya Tucker, Gretchen Wilson and The Highwomen’s Brandi Carlile, Natalie Hemby, Maren Morris and Amanda Shires to perform a medley in homage to the legendary women of country music.

Underwood also performed her single “Drinking Alone” from her latest album, Cry Pretty.

The couple shared their pregnancy news on Instagram in early September, when Bailey, 22, shared a photo series from a party celebrating their bundle of joy on the way. In the first snapshot, the “Don’t” singer cradled his girlfriend’s belly as they sat in front of pink balloons and over-sized blocks spelling out “BABY.”

“All I know is we are super excited for our little girl to get here ,” she wrote, while in a comment on the post, Tiller remarked, “Cant wait for my lil cocoa bean .”

An image on Tiller’s Instagram Stories saw Tiller posing solo, giving a thumbs-up to the camera in front of the same photo-op background.

“Fatherhood is so important to me, more than anything,” he wrote. “Thank you all for the positive messages guys it truly means the world. Wow Father of 2, gotta go twice as hard now.”

Michelle Williams is engaged — and expecting!

The four-time Oscar nominee, 39, is engaged to the Tony Award-winning director of Hamilton, Thomas Kail, a source confirms to PEOPLE. The two are also expecting their first child together, the source adds.

Williams and Kail, 42, were photographed together in London where the actress is busy filming Venom 2. Williams was spotted buying baby clothes at Seraphine’s maternity boutique in Kensington.

A rep for the actress has not commented.

The actress is also a mother to her 14-year-old daughter Matilda, whom she shared with the late actor Heath Ledger.

Kail directed Williams in the drama Fosse/Verdon, for which she won the Emmy Award for lead actress. The director is close friends with Lin-Manuel Miranda and directed his musical In the Heights on Broadway. He also won an Emmy for directing Grease: Live.

Williams has been candid in the past about finding love after Ledger’s death in 2008.

“I never gave up on love,” she told Vanity Fair in 2018 about moving on. “I always say to Matilda, ‘Your dad loved me before anybody thought I was talented, or pretty, or had nice clothes.’”

While Williams has maintained her personal life private, she told the magazine she was more keen on helping others.

“I don’t really want to talk about any of it. But what if this helps somebody?” she said. “What if somebody who has always journeyed in this way, who has struggled as much as I struggled, and looked as much as I looked, finds something that helps them?”

Stuck in the Middle Star Cerina Vincent and Mike Estes Are Engaged: 'It Was a Magical Night'

Stuck in the Middle star Cerina Vincent is engaged!

The actress’ longtime boyfriend Mike Estes, whom she shares 10-month-old son Nicola with, popped the question while they were in Vincent’s hometown of Las Vegas, Nevada to visit her mom.

“It was truly a magical, holiday engagement story!” Vincent, 40, tells PEOPLE exclusively.

The exciting new chapter began on Dec. 22 when the couple attended a Christmas party hosted by her cousins.

“Mike tried to propose in a family photo with my dad and my siblings, my nephew and our baby, but I moved him to the end of the photo and everyone dispersed before he could do it. Vincent girls tend to be bossy when it comes to family photos,” Vincent says.

When that didn’t work, Estes devised another plan.

“I was trying to leave the party for a few minutes to put the baby to bed, so he quickly looped in my brother Gino, and he and my sister-in-law Christel helped organize another photo. A general photo of the guys,” Vincent shares.

“My sister Angela was helping to get Mike and Nico and my dad and brother all lined up. … Mike dropped to a knee ‘on cheese’ and I was absolutely stunned!”

“It was a loud, fun, festive party, and my mind was on trying to put our baby to bed, so he completely caught me by surprise! It was so special and so meaningful,” Vincent says. “Mike knows that my family is the most important thing in the world to me, so it was the perfect setting.”

Vincent says “time slowed down” when Estes got down on one knee.

“I saw my son on his arm, my dad and my brother and my nephew behind him,” Vincent says. “Really, all the most important men in my life were a part of the moment and that was unbelievably meaningful to me.”

“He put the ring on my finger while I held our son in front of the Christmas tree,” Vincent continues.

Following the proposal, Vincent says she Estes and their baby son went on a walk through the neighborhood, soaking in everything that had just happened.

“ looked at Christmas lights, and talked and laughed and cried.”

“I love this man and our son beyond words. I was totally shocked. He nailed it. We are beyond blessed and excited to start this new chapter of our lives together with our beautiful baby boy,” Vincent adds.

Vincent and Estes welcomed baby Nico in February.

He was born at Whittier Hospital Medical Center in Whittier, California at 9:26 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 4. He weighed 7 lbs., 11 oz., and measured 20 inches long.

“The stars aligned on Feb. 4 to be the most extraordinary moment of my life,” Vincent tells PEOPLE exclusively. “Our sweet baby boy came into this world and from that instant I now know a love deeper than I ever thought possible. I loved him when I carried him around for nine months, but this love … this love is immeasurable.”

“Love at first sight, yes, but truer and deeper than any words can describe,” she continues. “We feel so blessed to have a son and know a love like this.”

Husband Donates Kidney to Wife of 51 Years After Discovering He's the Perfect Match

A man in Texas gave his wife of 51 years the “ultimate present” this year: his own kidney.

Peggy Nipper suffers from polycystic kidney disease (PKD), an inherited disease that leads to kidney failure. This fall, one of Peggy’s kidneys was down to only 14 percent functionality, and it was time for a transplant.

While it is typically difficult to get on the transplant list, especially for patients over that age of 70, it turned out that Peggy, 74, didn’t have to look very far. Her husband, Mike Nipper, was a perfect match, and the couple underwent the transplant process in November at the Kidney Transplant Center at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center.

“We didn’t even think there was a possibility for him to be a direct match,” Peggy, whose mother died from the disease and whose brother is also inflicted with PKD, said in an interview with CNN.

Peggy said that they never imagined they’d be able to find a “direct match” for her blood and antigens so easily.

“If you carry babies from your husband, your blood has been mixed and very often you develop antigens against that blood because of bearing children,” she explained. “So we didn’t even know it was a possibility.”

But luckily, Mike’s blood type and antigen tissue matched perfectly.

“It was quite a gift,” Peggy, now in recovery from the procedure, added of her husband’s kidney.

“I don’t think he has to give me another gift for the rest of my life,” she said. “This was the ultimate present.”

But Mike was more than happy to provide his wife with the life-saving organ.

“We’re different people, I’m from Mars and she’s from Venus, but our differences will always complement each other,” Mike told CNN.

“I think I’m really committed now,” he added. “We promised each other, in sickness and in health until death do us part, and that’s how it’s going to be. We’re just trying to extend that death do us part for as long as we can.”

There are more than 200,000 cases of PKD in the United States per year.

The music mogul, 50, is closing off 2019 in Miami with all of his children — they also celebrated Christmas in the Florida sunshine together last week. Diddy is dad to Quincy Brown, 28 (the biological son of Al B. Sure!), Justin Combs, 26, Christian ‘King’ Combs, 21, and twin daughters D’Lila and Jessie Combs, 13.

Diddy has been hosting soul food Sunday gatherings for his family and closest friends over the past few months, and this past Sunday he shared videos from the cherished occasion on his Instagram story.

“I just want to thank God for waking us up this morning,” he said during a special prayer before his family and loved ones sat down to eat. “Thank you for the air that we breathe. Thank you for the things that we take for granted.”

“Every now and then we have a dinner called soul food Sunday, and we kind of just invite our friends that we feel like the collective vibe would be something that would be just different and be special, so everybody doesn’t get invited,” he continued before the clip ended.

Celebrity pals, including Terrence J and Lenny S, also joined in on the fun, and Diddy shared footage of the pair excitedly chatting about the meal ahead.

Australian news outlet Sunday Telegraph reported that Efron had contracted typhoid or a “similar bacterial infection” while filming his Quibi show, Killing Zac Efron. The star was airlifted to Brisbane, where he was taken to St. Andrews War Memorial Hospital in Spring Hill, according to the outlet.

A rep for Efron did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Typhoid is a life-threatening illness caused by bacteria that can be found in contaminated water and food in Papua New Guinea, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Antibiotics and vaccines can be used for treatment.

In November, Efron announced his new adventure series.

“Zac heads deep into the jungles of a remote island to carve his own name in expedition history. Zac is going all-in, falling off the grid for 21 days with nothing but basic gear, a guide partner and a will to survive,” the series said in a statement, obtained by Entertainment Weekly.

Efron, who also serves as executive producer on the series, said, “I tend to thrive under extreme circumstances and seek out opportunities that challenge me on every level. I am excited to explore any uncharted territory and discover what unexpected adventure awaits!”

Soccer stars Ali Krieger and Ashlyn Harris are officially Mrs. and Mrs.

Harris, 34, and Krieger, 35, were married at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami, Florida, on Saturday. Now, PEOPLE has an exclusive first look at the happy couple’s wedding photos.

For the ceremony, Krieger wore a gown by Pronovias — also the designer for the mothers of the brides’ dresses and the bridesmaids’ dresses. Harris wore a custom suit by Thom Browne, who also designed the suits worn by Krieger’s brother and their pal Megan Rapinoe for the ceremony.

Opening up to PEOPLE about the design process, Harris called it “really, really enjoyable.”

“I asked if it would be possible to create and design a custom suit or tuxedo for the wedding. It has been the most enjoyable, beautiful process I have ever done and I’ve been a part of fashion for a long time now,” she said. “To just have the access to give input and create something together has been one of my greatest accomplishments.”

The pair also exchanged rings by Great Heights.

Krieger said she took the helm on planning the festivities, with help from Sara Lowell of Sara Renee Events and the couple’s agency, Wasserman. The pair also used the Knot to help get organized for the big day, and provide a registry for their guests.

The brides exclusively revealed their engagement to PEOPLE in March 2019. The couple started dating when they met playing for the U.S. National Team in 2010 and now play for the Orlando Pride, together.

Harris and Krieger helped the U.S. women’s national soccer team win the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup Final, giving America its fourth championship in the tournament. And now the two have a pair of rings to go with their new trophy.

Opening up about what tying the knot means to them, Krieger said to PEOPLE, “Obviously, we’ve been together for a long time. And so I guess when we were ready to make it official, we’ve taken that step and we got a new house and so we’re kind of moving in the same direction and it just feels like we’re kind of coming together as one. We feel like we’re at a really good place and a really comfortable place and the age that we’re at, especially, we feel real confident in the foundation that we’ve built.”

Krieger continued, “So I think that this is a great step forward and kind of starting the rest of our lives.”

Barack Obama has revealed his favorite television shows and movies of the past year.

The former president, 58, listed his recommendation of comedies, dramas and thrillers on social media Sunday.

“This year’s list includes everything from explorations of class dynamics and relationships, to an inspired reboot of a classic graphic novel, to a portal back to one of the most special places in history — an Aretha Franklin concert,” Obama wrote in the caption.

Among his favorite films were the Olivia Wilde-directed Booksmart, Awkwafina-starring The Farewell, Matt Damon and Christian Bale-starring Ford v. Ferrari, Martin Scorsese-directed The Irishman, Jamie Foxx and Michael B. Jordan-starring Just Mercy, Greta Gerwig-directed Little Women as well as the Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver-starring Marriage Story.

Popular TV shows Fleabag, Unbelievable and Watchmen made a special category. “And quick list of TV shows that I considered as powerful as movies,” he said.

“We couldn’t ask for higher praise than this,” the Amazon Prime show tweeted in response.

In addition, the father of two noted his Netflix documentary with wife Michelle Obama. “Of course, there’s also American Factory, a film from our own production company, Higher Ground, that was recently shortlisted for an Oscar. It’s our first offering in partnership with Netflix, and I’m excited about the other projects we’ve got in the works,” Obama said.

American Factory, a documentary on post-industrial Ohio, premiered on Netflix in August, marking the first film released through their highly anticipated production deal with Netflix that the former first couple hopes can help viewers “get outside of themselves.”

On Saturday, Obama recommended 19 books to mark the end of 2019.

The Turn of the Screw is a British television film based on Henry James's 1898 ghost story of the same name. Commissioned and produced by the BBC, it was first broadcast on 30 December 2009, on BBC One. The novella was adapted for the screen by Sandy Welch, and the film was directed by Tim Fywell. Although generally true to the tone and story of James's work, the film is set in the 1920s instead of the 1840s. The story is told in flashbacks during consultations between the institutionalised Ann, played by Michelle Dockery (pictured), and a psychiatrist, Dr Fisher (Dan Stevens). Ann tells how she was hired by an aristocrat (Mark Umbers) to care for the orphans Miles (Josef Lindsay) and Flora (Eva Sayer) at their home, Bly House. Ann soon begins to see unknown figures around the manor, and seeks an explanation. Though the film generally received a positive response, critics disagreed over whether it retained the novella's much-discussed ambiguity.

2019 Recap Trending Tunes: 15 songs that you should add to your playlist

2019 has been such a good year in terms of films, in terms of content and in terms of talent. Rochak Kohli is a sensation. Only he could have done such a good remake of any song. Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga is a remake of R.D. Burman's classic of the same name from Anil Kapoor and Manisha Koirala starrer 1942 - A Love Story. The lyrics of Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga are penned by Gurpreet Saini. Darshan Raval's voice is perfect for a remake of this song. If you are a fan of revamp versions, this one is a must-have in your playlist.

Duniya - Luka Chuppi

Duniya is one of the most romantic songs of the year. A remake yet again, but a kickass one. The original number is titled Khaab by Akhil. Abhijit Vaghani has composed the recreational tracks. When everything's going wrong, but you need a mood and motivator, First Class is amazing, just for the hook line of the song of course. But, to tell you the truth, it's a fun number. Dil Jaaniye - Khandaani Shafakhana

You don't need anyone to pat your back or acknowledge your work. This song works magic. You'll get a little teary-eyed but it's worth it. Work hard and let the universe work its magic. Makhna is composed by Tanishk Bagchi who has penned the lyrics with Ozil Dalal. The vocals are provided by Asees along with Yasser Desai. This is a song for every girl.

Hawaa Banke - Yeh Saali Aashiqui

This is one of the numbers which surprised us the most. Armaan Malik's vocals sound so different in this one. The music of Hawaa Banke is given by Hitesh Modak while the lyrics are penned by Tanveer Ghazi. Armaan's powerful voice hooks you to it.

Tu Hi Yaar Mera - Pati Patni Aur Woh

Tu Hi Yaar Mera is one beautiful melody that should be in the playlist because it resembles the feeling of longing so well. Tu Hi Yaar Mera is composed by Rochak Kohli while the lyrics are given by Kumaar. Arijit Singh and Neha Kakkar have provided the vocals for the same.
