A day before yesterday, director Atlee gave us a treat by launching the trailer of Thalapathy Vijay's highly-anticipated venture Bigil. In no time it grabbed the top spot on all social media platforms. Apart from fans and south celebs, many Bollywood stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, Varun Dhawan, Vivek Oberoi others praised the promo of this mega-budget sports drama. Though many of the cine-goers compared the trailer with SRK's Chak De India!. But we can't deny the fact, that the trailer was immensely liked by the audience. In less than 48 hours, Bigil trailer has become the most liked trailer with 1.2 million likes after Shah Rukh Khan's Zero, which currently has 1.9 million likes. Well, it will be interesting to see if the film goes past Zero to become the most liked trailer of all-time or not.

Since the film marks the reunion of director Atlee and Vijay after Mersal, the expectations are sky-high from the film. Nayanthara has worked with Vijay in Sivakasi and Villu in the past and this will be her third collaboration with the actor. While the film is still in the production process, it has already achieved a huge milestone by cracking the satellite rights deal with a leading channel worth Rs 50 crore. Well, this a huge price for a regional film and the superstardom of Thalapathy Vijay is definitely the reason behind it.
The film also stars Vivek in a key role, who is known for working in films like Sivaji, Run, Saamy and many others. . Bigil is bankrolled by AGS productions.
