Last week, Lok Sabha passed the Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill 2019, to amend the provisions under the Motor Vehicles Act of 1988. Under the new traffic rules, fines of offences such as drunk driving, unauthorized use of vehicles, driving licences, disobeying traffic laws, not wearing a helmet while driving a bike and others, have been increased heavily. Say for example, if you were being fined Rs 100 for violating traffic rule earlier, now be ready to pay Rs 1000 for the same. Yes, you read that right! The new traffic rules and increase in the penalties came as a huge shocker to the citizens. But instead of cribbing about the same, they made several jokes about the new amended Motor Vehicles Bill. The day amendment came in, Twitter users sparked a meme fest on the social networking platform. And the memes are way too hilarious.
