The Voice has finally got its winner. Sumit Saini who was coached by Harshdeep Kaur in this season has picked up the trophy. As the winner, he has also won Rs 25 lakhs. Sumit comes from a religious farming family and has been singing since childhood. Like many, his start was at the Jagratas held during Navratri festival in North India. Saini impressed one and all with his rendition of Kinna Sona from the film Ok! Jaanu.
Sumit Saini beat a number of contestants to bag the prize. The season was a popular one on social media with Armaan Malik being one of the judges with Adnan Sami and Harshdeep Kaur. Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya also made her debut as an anchor with the show. Saini is a huge fan of Bollywood superstar, Ajay Devgn. He said, " I am a huge fan of Ajay Devgn sir as I feel very related to him. I believe that we both share a spiritual connection. We both are ardent Lord Shiva devotees. He in his lot of interviews revealed that since childhood, he has been fascinated with Lord Shiva as he is the only god with imperfections and has many facets to him which can be seen in every individual. Ajay Devgn sir s tattoo reflects his devotion for Lord Shiva." This was during the Mahashivratri special episode.
The boy hails from Yamuna Nagar in Haryana and has been singing since the age of three. BollywoodLife extends its congratulations to Saini.
