Mahesh Babu thanks fans after Maharshi turns out to be the biggest opener in his career – read tweet

Mahesh Babu-starrer Maharshi has released a day ago and the film has taken over the box office unanimously. Although the film received mixed response from audience and critics, the collections report has a different picture to offer. Maharshi has earned a gross collection of Rs 25 crore on first day in domestic markets which is the highest ever in Mahesh's career. In the US, Maharshi has earned a gross collection of a little $900,000 and will soon cross the golden number of $1 million. And post the success of the film, Mahesh Babu thanked his fans via social media for making Maharshi the biggest. "My journey so far has been very special & Thank You All for making my 25th... my BIGGEST!!! Thanking all my fans and the audiences for an outstanding response [sic]" tweeted Mahesh today. Speaking about Maharshi, Mahesh Babu had recently said, "It's a film that has so much to offer. It has a very powerful social message that is well-laced with other commercial elements. I say it's a film unlike anything I've done so far because audiences can easily relate to my character Rishi. The journey of my character will be both interesting and inspiring."
