What picture comes to mind when you hear the word Vamp? We for one can picture big bindis, heavy make-up and jewellery laden ladies in designer sarees. But that is a thing of the past. The antagonists of this century have upped their fashion game and are making impressive style statements. The mos, sophisticated and tasteful vamps of the small screen are here and are giving us a unique reason to enjoy their characters!
#Komolika - Hina Khan
First up, we had to mention Hina Khan as she dedicatedly follows fashion trends and creates her own style statements, every single time. With Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, Hina is playing a negative role for the first time and she is killing it with her swag and style. A special mention goes to her designer Tripti Arora, who has kept the outfits for Hina s nifty, in accordance to Komo s character traits. Komolika is a vamp but her looks are very desirable. Keeping in mind the character, Hina s outfits are both dark and bright pastel shades. Adding a touch of exclusiveness is the way Hina s sarees are draped, or the funky design of her blouse or the embellishments sown into her ensembles. Be it crabs on the saree or off shoulder blouses, Hina carries it off like a pro. The actress is seen wearing a combination of Jadau and Kundan jewellery on the show. She is also seen carrying some really cool oxidized jewellery too.
#Pishachini - Sangeeta Ghosh
Sangeeta Ghosh as Pishachini in Divya Drishti is grabbing eyeballs for her unique dressing style. Pishachini is determined to acquire the special power from the two sister Divya and Drishti. She is usually seen in a black choli and slit-harem of the same colour, which she teams up with a whole lot of statement silver jewellery. Her make-up is bold yet classy. Pishachini s voluminous jewellery could well be character in itself as the actress is weighed down with embellishments from head to toe. Other than her statement black ensemble, Sangeeta Ghosh is seen in various shades, time to time, as the current track features her disguising as Preeto maasi.
#Mohana Mona Lisa
Mona Lisa is winning hearts with her portrayal of Mohana the ekayan on Nazar. Mohana is always seen in salwar suits minus the dupatta. However, when the actress is pretending to be a bicharri abla naari, Mona Lisa drapes some really pretty dupattas. The actress had revealed that the Phulkari and Banarasi dupattas she wore on the show, are from her own collection, as she boasts of more than 800 dupattas in total. Can you believe it?
#Sumitra Rakshanda Khan
Rakshanda Khan is the baap of all the negative characters, if we may say so. The actress is currently seen playing the antagonist in Naagin 3, as Sumitra. Her character initially had a positive side but later she turned into a negative character. Sumitra is seen in the typical six yards of saree with minimum jewellery. The make-up is not too gaudy but given the fact that she is a naagin her eyes are accentuated, adding to her character. As Sumitra turned evil, her sense of fashion changed too. Earlier the actress was seen in bright pastel shades and now Rakshanda drapes darker shades, at times velvet sarees too, which enhance the vibes of her character.
#Janhvi Mittal Shrenu Parikh
Though she is a newbie antagonist, Shrenu Parikh is acing her act. Her sarees and jewellery form a huge part of her character. Though she may pretend to be the docile bahu of the Mittal family, Janhvi s hidden intentions are very well depicted with the vibrant shades of clothes she wears. Shrenu is seen wearing heavy jewellery in the show, which normally (as per TV standards) any daughter-in-law of a rich family would do. While Janhvi is seen all dressed up in light coloured sarees, as her character shifts to negative planning and plotting, the colour scheme of her wardrobe is growing darker too and that s quite interesting!
So, which TV vamp impressed you with her style file?
