Ekta Kapoor's Naagin 3 featuring Surbhi Jyoti, Pearl V Puri and Anita Hassnandani is a popular show on TV. It is a supernatural thriller and people like following this show, which is exactly the reason why Naagin tops the TRP charts, every week. Initially, Ekta introduced us to daily soaps and went on to experiment with the mystical genre. Even though Kavach didn't hit the right chord with the audience, Naagin received a positive response. And so now, we have the third instalment of Naagin enjoying a smooth run on the small screen. We have no complaints regarding this particular genre. It is the bizarre and same stuff that we have watched throughout the three seasons of Naagin, which make us believe that the makers lack originality and resort to the same old odd-tricks to gauge the viewers' attention.
Be it Aly Goni turning into a vulture on the show or the recent entry of Ishqbaaaz actor Shourya Lathur as the Indian wolverine Hukum, Naagin 3 has given us various reasons to laugh and we are serious. The last time we remember, the makers of the show made a reference to Wolverine when they showed us Hukum drawing out his claws just like the X-Men character. And the latest reference which has found a place in Naagin 3 is about Baahubali. Yes, you read it right.
Remember the scene from the iconic film, where Sivagami rescued a child (Baahubali) by crossing a river to save his life? Well, that is exactly what you are going to see in the coming episode of Naagin 3. It will so happen that once Bela finds out that Vishakha's newborn is a girl, she will take charge to save her from Hukum, as he always wanted a baby boy. Bela will take Vishakha's baby girl to Mahadev's temple and pray to the lord to give her the strength to save her. And then, we will see her replicate the Baahubali scene wherein Sivagami lifted Baahubali while she was still in the river.
This may be nostalgic for some but we think, it is the high time the Indian entertainers came up with something new when it comes to serving content to the audience.
Today, people have tons of options to choose from and they can switch to another show or a platform if the content doesn't interest them. Honestly, the audience nowadays is thriving for original content whereas the makers of Naagin are lagging behind in this race.
