South Box Office prediction: Will Majili fare better than Naga Chaitanya-Samantha Akkineni's previous hit Manam?

The cutest couple of Tollywood, Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Akkineni will pair up for the first time, post their wedding, for Majili which is touted to be a romantic tale. The movie is directed by Shiva Nirvana, who has previously helmed Ninnu Kori featuring Nani, Nivetha Thomas and Aadhi in lead roles. Majili is slated for release on April 5 and fans of this couple are quite kicked to see them back on screen after a long time. The last time Naga and Samantha were seen together was as a couple in Manam, which starred three generations of the Akkineni family. Manam went on to earn Rs 36.5 crores at the end of its theatrical run, which did not include the satellite rights of the film.

After Ye Maaya Chesave, Manam stands as the biggest hit of the couple together. After a gap of five years, Sam and Chay are coming together in Majili. Expectations from this romantic saga are quite high, after the trailer of the film was recently released. The promotional video has left fans asking for more who are now eagerly looking forward to April 5. In times when we are talking about a collection of Rs 50 crore and Rs 100 crore at the box office within few days of release, will Majili surpass Manam and Ye Maaya Chesave in terms of number? Yes, it seems highly possible. Will it gain the cult status that YMC achieved? We will have to wait for this one.

Majili also stars Divyansha Kaushik in a parallel lead role, the actress will make her debut in Tollywood with this project. Going by the teaser and the trailer, the young actress plays Chaitanya s love interest in the flashback portions. Majili also stars Rao Ramesh, Atul Kulkarni and Posani Krishna Murali in supporting roles. The music of the film is composed by Gopi Sundar and the songs have emerged as huge hits.
