The world is celebrating womanhood today. It's that day of the year when it s the perfect time to give our tribute to all the powerful women who have and who still walk the earth. So, today, we are going to give you some reasons to appreciate women and their individuality. And we are going to particularly concentrate on the Indian idiot box which is heavily dominated by women. The Telly world has given us a plethora of characters that have impacted us in some way or the other. Haven t there been characters who have made you feel, Damn! Girl, you are so fine, and we should totally be friends. So, here we are, jotting down for you five such characters from the recent times who would have made for the perfect girl pals for anyone
Bela (Naagin)
I mean c'mon! Who would not want a Naagin to be their friend? That too a Naagrani. Bela is sweet, friendly and also dangerous. So, the next time somebody messes with you, wouldn t they be in for some real hard time dealing with your fanged friend? I don't need you Karma, (hair flip) Bela is here.
Komolika (Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2)
Just because she is self-centered doesn t mean she can t be a good friend. In fact, I think she'd be a better friend than many others. Whether you take Urvashi Dholakia's spicier Komolika or Hina Khan's style diva version, she would always have all the gup in the world. And imagine if you had a crush on a guy, Kom would definitely come up with such plots that even a married man would be yours in a giffy.
Maya Sarabhai (Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai)
Do we even need an explanation here? I want to be a part of that elite club. Every night full of sarcasm, we could go partying around, judging people. What a life that would be!
Jassi (Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi)
Remember Jassi from Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi? Well, she would be an ideal friend. One who would always crack you up, always be there for you and give you the best advice possible. Okay, now you can sob in one corner for not having a Jassi in your life.
Daya Ben (Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah)
Gokuldham's Daya Ben is the Indian version of Mrs Congeniality. And so, she will be a perfect person to befriend. Also, think of the benefits - she'd teach you how to drape a saree, make you laugh, be your punching bag (not literally) and would also be an unlimited source of Gujarati snacks.
