Ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who last directed Ranveer Singh – Deepika Padukone’s Padmaavat, will soon be producing a film based on the recently conducted Balakot airstrike by the Indian Air Force. If a report in a leading daily is to be believed, the same will be co-produced by SLB, Bhushan Kumar and Mahaveer Jain.
The untitled project will be helmed by Abhishek Kapoor, whose last film Kedarnath starred Sara Ali Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead. It’s also said that casting for the same is currently in process and various A-listers have shown their interest to star in this Bhansali film.
It’s after the super success of Vicky Kaushal’s Uri that filmmakers are now keen on making films on such subjects. The film will be a tribute to the armed forces.
