Mard Ka Dard Nahi Hota is out in theatres now and well it promises to be a fun watch. At least, that s what we felt after watching the trailer of this film. This quirky take tale follows the story of a young man who has a rare condition called congenital insensitivity to pain, meaning he cannot feel pain, and he sets out to learn martial arts and hunt down muggers. Renowned actress Bhagyashree s son, Abhimanyu Dassani is all set to make his Bollywood debut with this film and boy is he great! The film also stars former television actress turned Bollywood actress Radhika Madan as the female lead and known for playing character actor roles Gulshan Devaiah as the eccentric villain. The trio has been promoting their film in several cities. We all know that making a movie can take months or even a year or years for that matter. Needless to say, the cast and crew become like family during that time. And such is the case with the actors of Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota. Abhimanyu Dassani, Radhika Madan and Gulshan Devaiah have become very good friends.
Bollywoodlife recently had a little chat with the leads of the film. Out of curiosity, we asked about their camaraderie on the sets and who was the prankster on the set, here what we found out. Gulshan. Gulshan was the prankster whenever he was playing Jimmy (name of one of Gulshan s character in the film). Because he is a method actor, whenever he was playing Karate Mani, he was very serious and very quiet and didn t speak to anybody and when he Jimmy is used to trouble every single person on the sets.
He used to just bully me. Oh God, Matlab unhone Mera Jeena haram kara tha unhone(He made my life miserable). Abhimanyu probed her on what Gulshan used to call her to which she said, Kajal. There s an inside story here, between me and Gulshan. He used to keep calling me Kajal kajal, Matlab Mera Pura Jeena haram kara rakha tha unhone, to main pray karti thi, yaar Jimmy na bane, yaar Jimmy na bane (Prayed to God that let him not play Jimmy)
We are sure there s an interesting story behind Gulshan Devaiah coming up with this nickname for Radhika. While she didn t share it we do hope just like you do, that we get to hear the other side of it too someday.

Incidentally, Kesari is also releasing on the same and when asked if they feel any pressure that their movie is clashing with Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra s historical war drama, their sweetest answer will bring a smile on your face. Both the stars revealed that they are huge fans of Akshay Kumar and would want the audience to enjoy both the film.
We both are big fans of Akshay Kumar. Hum toh Cheez Badi Hain Mast Mast apni caller tune Bana denge (we would turn Cheez Badi Hain Mast Mast to our caller tune.), Radhika said. I grew up listening to Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Abhimanyu said. We love his work, the former added.
Char din ki chutti, dono movies dekhi jaa sakti hai (It is a four day off, you can watch both movies), Radhika explained. Speaking about Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, Abhimanyu assured that movie lovers will enjoy the movie. You re going to enjoy sitting in the theatre and watching the movie, he said
Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota is directed by Vasan Bala who previously helmed neo-noir psychological thriller, Raman Raghav 2.0 which starred Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Vicky Kaushan and debutante Shobhita Dhulipala.
