The makers of Ranveer Singh starrer '83 are revealing the ensemble star cast one-by-one and are raising our excitement with their bang-on choices. After taking on board Pankaj Tripathi as PR Man Singh (Team Manager), Harrdy Sandhu as Madan Lal, Saqib Saleem as Mohinder Amarnath, Chirag Patil as dad Sandeep Patil, Jiiva as Kris Srikanth, Tahir Raj Bhasin as Sunil Gavaskar, Ammy Virk as Balvinder Singh Sandhu and Sahil Khattar as Syed Kirmani, the makers have now found the legendary all-rounder Ravi Shastri in this Uri star.
Actor Dhairya Karwa, who played Captain Sartaj Singh Chandok in Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam starrer recent blockbuster Uri, will play Ravi Shastri in Kabir Khan's '83. The film is expected to go on floors in mid-May and will have a 100-day schedule in London and Scotland. Presented by Reliance Entertainment, 83, directed by Kabir Khan, will see Ranveer playing Kapil Dev. The film is inspired by Team India's first World Cup win. Produced by Madhu Mantena, Vishnu Induri and Kabir Khan, the movie will be releasing on April 10, 2020.
Kabir Khan earlier told that 1983 world cup win is the best story he has heard in his life. It s probably the best story I ve heard in my life. But there s a dearth of writing about it. I had to go to Lord s library and search all the books to finally get all the material together. There s such less material written on it despite the fact that it was such an iconic moment in the history of our country.
