"Stop favouring your pals," Even Siddhant Chaturvedi aka MC Sher of Gully Boy has faced nepotism - read post

That Gully Boy has surpassed expectations and made a home in the hearts of cine-goers is no news. The Zoya Akhtar directorial which brought together Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt together (Thank God for that), with their crackling characters of course, has been garnering the highest praises in ways more than one. But that's not all, Siddhant Chaturvedi as MC Sher has left everyone in disbelief with his screen-presence in his maiden film and that says something! So much so that, he got a hand-written letter and a bouquet of flowers from none other than legend himself, Amitabh Bachchan.

And rightly so! His popularity both on and off-line is off the charts and one can see the specks of a star he is all set to become. But hey, it wasn't a cakewalk for him. In fact, like any other breakout actor he has also had his share of struggles, in the face of nepotism and we have proof. Earlier, over two years ago, Siddhant had taken to Facebook to pen an tell-all post about how is only going to work harder and make a name for himself despite the sly trapping of nepotism. He had written, "Nepotism. You beauty! Stop favouring your pals so much...I might get insecure, and work even harder! You slyly pass employment to your loved ones, and an opportunity for the talented to become legends. #HailNepotism #WorksforMe"

See his post here.

So, now you know!

While Siddhant is being talked for his character MC Sher, in an exclusive chat with us, the 25-year-old revealed who is the off-screen MC Sher for him. No point for guessing, as it is none other than Ranveer Singh. Revealing how Singh is like a big brother to him, the debutante added that Ranveer is very sweet and secure.
