An event organizer, Pramod Sharma has filed a case against Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha and four others under the charges of cheating, criminal conspiracy and criminal breach of trust. According to Sharma, the complainant, Sonakshi agreed to perform at an event in Delhi on September 30, last year and even took a paycheck of Rs 37 lakhs for the same. He revealed that he had made all the arrangements, including sending the flight tickets. However, Sonakshi didn't turn up for the event, which not just led to his monetary losses but also a great damage to his reputation. Pramod's Moradabad based event company was hosting the India Fashion and Beauty Award, at the Sri Fort Auditorium in Delhi for which Sonakshi was supposed to distribute awards.
Sonakshi has even shot for the promotional videos and released them after accepting the amount.
"I tried convincing her (Sonakshi) a lot to perform at the event and even told her that I will incur huge losses if she doesn't come, but she refused to perform," Sharma said in a statement. He further added, "They then called me up to change the timing of the event which I denied. The function timing was fixed at 4pm and the tickets for the event were sold out."
Reportedly, Moradabad DSP Gajraj Singh found out that the electronic money transfer did take place. "The complainant had also produced a copy of MoU that was signed by Sonakshi Sinha. We have instructedthe Katghar police station to registered an FIR against Sonakshi Sinha and her associates. Further investigation will be carried out into the matter, "SSP Ravendra J Gaud told a newspaper.
An FIR has been lodged against the Dabangg actress. Sonakshi and her legal team has not responded yet.
