Exclusive: Director Aditya Dhar REVEALS how the emotional war cry funeral scene was shot impeccably

If you've watched Uri: The Surgical Strike, you will definitely say that the war cry scene was the highlight of the film and had a lasting impact on every movie buff. In fact, both the times when I watched the film, that sequence made me teary-eyed. So, when I had a chat with director Aditya Dhar, I was quite excited to know the execution of that crucial scene. Because if that wouldn't have triggered the right emotions in the audience, the complete film would have fall flat.

So, when I asked him about the execution of that war-cry funeral scene, Aditya explained, "Actually it was not very difficult if you explain your actors exactly what the situation is and what's the significance of that scene in the film. For me, if that scene didn't work, I think the entire plot wouldn't have worked. Because the idea was to showcase the sacrifice of our soldiers and that scene was the epitome of that sacrifice. It was the point where you realise the kind of sacrifice, the family makes, the soldiers make and that scene had to work for this. So, the only thing I did was I explained to all my actors - be it the little girl Riva, or be it Vicky or be it Manasi, I explained what needs to be done and what is the significance and how important the scene was for anybody, not only for the film but for the janta also. Whenever, whoever watches this scene in the theatre, they should feel the sacrifice of our soldiers and that was the only brief I gave to them."

Aditya also revealed that the way Riva yells out that war-cry got everyone even on the set teary-eyed. Well, honestly that was the scene of the year for us. Do you agree with us? Tweet to bollywood_life to give us your opinion.
