Six years ago, Farhan Akhtar collaborated with filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra for Bhaag Milkha Bhaag which turned out to be a hit. Now, after a brief period, the two are reportedly coming together for a project which is also a sports drama. The only difference is that this one is not a biopic. As per a Mumbai Mirror report, Farhan will be seen playing the role of a boxer in Mehra's directorial, which is titled Toofan. Apart from acting in the film, Farhan is backing this project with Ritesh Sidhwani as well.
Divulging more details about Toofan, a source close to the development informed the tabloid, "It s not a biopic. It is a fictional story scripted by Anjum Rajabali. Farhan fell in love with it as soon as he heard it. Rakeysh has already started the prep and Farhan will be training extensively in boxing. He is looking forward to working with Rakeysh again. The film should roll this year." A few minutes ago, Farhan confirmed his collaboration with Rakeysh too.

As of now, Farhan has Shonali Bose's The Sky Is Pink lined up. The actor is reuniting with his Dil Dhadakne Do co-star Priyanka Chopra for this film. On the personal front, it is being said that Farhan will be exchanging the wedding vows with his alleged ladylove, Shibani Dandekar, in the month of April. The two have already started the wedding preparations and we have heard that they have exchanged rings already.
