The Minneapolis Police Department’s website has shown signs of a hack since late Saturday, days after a video purported to be from the hacktivist group Anonymous promised retribution for the death of George Floyd during an arrest.
Websites for the police department and the city of Minneapolis were temporarily inaccessible on Saturday as protesters in cities around the U.S. marched against police violence aimed at black Americans.
By Sunday morning, the pages sometimes required visitors to submit “captchas” to verify they weren’t bots, a tool used to mitigate hacks that attempt to overwhelm pages with automated requests until they stop responding.
Officials with the police department and the city didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.
Anonymous posted a video on their unconfirmed Facebook page on May 28 directed at the Minneapolis police. The post accused them of having a “horrific track record of violence and corruption.”
The speaker, wearing a hoodie and the Guy Fawkes mask that’s a well-known symbol of the group, concludes the video with, “we do not trust your corrupt organization to carry out justice, so we will be exposing your many crimes to the world. We are a legion. Expect us.”
The video was viewed almost 2.3 million times on Facebook over the weekend, during which violence swept the U.S. as protesters clashed with law enforcement and National Guard troops.
While many demonstrations have been peaceful, others have devolved into rioting. Several cities issued curfews and police have at times turned their rubber bullets and mace on the activists and on journalists covering the protests.
President Donald Trump on Sunday cast blame on the media for stoking the violence that’s followed the death of Floyd, an unarmed black man, in Minnesota police custody.
Coronavirus pandemic has had dastardly effects everywhere across the globe. A lot of lives have been lost due to COVID-19 and about more than 1.6 lakh people have been tested positive for the same. Since the fatal virus is contagious, the lockdown has been brought into effect so as to maintain social distancing and help beat the pandemic while staying at home and following proper hygiene conditions. Bollywood celebrities have been providing help to various government organisation and other non-profit organisations to people in need of financial assistance and daily needs. Salman Khan is one of the Bollywood movie stars who has been trying to help as many people as possible. And now after coming up with a line of hand sanitizers and making various provisions to help the needy, the Dabangg star has started a food donation drive to help the theatre workers.
Yuva Sena leader Rahul N Kanal who has been seeking out stars to extend help had approached Salman Khan for the same and the actor readily agreed. "We started the initiative when we heard about the plight of the artistes and technicians of Shri Shivaji Mandir Natyagruha. I reached out to Salman bhai who immediately agreed to help us. Each ration kit contains five kilos of rice and wheat flour, vegetables, oil, salt, spices and tea powder. We reached out to 186 workers on the first day and hope to extend help to other theatre artistes through them. We are practising safety measures while distributing the kits," Kanal told Mid-Day.
Further when it was brought to his notice that Ali Fazal has been building a database of all the theatre artists, Kanal added, "If we could get the contact numbers of any theatre company that needs support, we will be happy to help."
This kind gesture of the Bharat has touched several hearts.

Music composer Wajid Khan of the Sajid-Wajid duo passed away in Mumbai in the early hours of June 1, 2020. He was suffering from kidney and heart ailments for quite some time and had been rushed to a hospital where he was reportedly on the ventilator.
Wajid had been keeping a low profile due to his ill-health for some time now. The Sajid-Wajid duo recently composed Salman Khan's lockdown songs Bhai Bhai and Pyaar Karona. They were considered as Salman’s favourite composers, who gave them a break in Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya in 1998, where they composed the song Teri jawani.
Once again, we have come up with some quirky pictures, which will make your lazy Sunday super entertaining. Since celebs are staying at home following the guidelines of government, we have taken throwback images of our favourite Bollywood celebs, which will take you on a laugh riot thanks to weird facial expressions and funny postures. So, here they are...
The above image of Bhaijaan of Bollywood aka Salman Khan was clicked during the promotions of Dabangg 3 along with the cast and crew. While every time, the megastar shows us his swagger attitude, in the above picture it looks like Salman is practising a Sanjay Dutt walk and it instantly cracks you up.
The Dilbar and Saki Saki girl, who recently made us groove to Garmi along with Varun Dhawan, was clicked during an event and accidentally the paps captured Nora Fatehi in a weird expression. We are guessing Nora wants to say something but is not sure whether to voice it?
Rapper and composer Badshah was snapped at the airport when he was busy with the promotions of his acting debut venture Khandaani Shafakhana. The Rockstar was snapped in a funny pose by shutterbugs at that place. Seems like he is subtly saying, 'Woh Dekho'!
Malaika Arora aka Malla is known to grace the category of our awkward pictures almost every week. In this throwback picture, we see the evergreen diva walking out of the gym and to get rid of the rain she rushed to her car and our paps captured the actress in a weird moment.
This throwback picture of versatile actress Rani Mukerji was clicked during a special screening for the cops of her film Mardaani 2. In the image, it seems that the actress has gone too much into the skin of the character as she is looking at someone in a suspicious way.
So, out of the above five, which one is your favourite? Tweet and let us know @bollywood_life.

Ekta Kapoor (@ektarkapoor) May 28, 2020
Ekta Kapoor's Naagin 4 has been the talk of the town recently. Everyone had their eyes of confirmations tweets or posts. There have been a lot of rumours about the show. It was reported that Rashami Desai and Nia Sharma won't be a part of the show post the shoots resume after the lockdown ends. It was also said that the show will be going off-air. Rashami Desai then came in to confirm her exit and now Ekta Kapoor has put an end to all these speculations through a video in which she confirmed that the show will go off-air and she apologised to the cast and crew of the show. Ekta Kapoor also revealed that she will be back with Naagin 5 post lockdown ends. This came as a sad news for Naagin 4 fans but they are happy that the show will return soon with another grand season.
Bigg Boss 13's Devoleena Bhattacharjee and Mujhse Shaadi Karoge's Mayur Verma's Twitter war has set the internet on fire. Their fight began when Devoleena criticised Shehnaaz Gill and Sidharth Shukla for their music video, Bhula Dunga. This did not go down well with #SidNaaz fans. They slammed her for being apparently jealous of the success and popularity of the idols. However, she gave it back to these trolls. Devoleena Bhattacharjee liked a VM made on the wedding of Shehnaaz Gill and Mayur Verma. The two are good friends. Some haters of Shehnaaz Gill had made the video. By liking it, Devoleena irked Mayur Verma who has filed a cyber complaint case against her. In return, she took to Twitter to bash him and said that she doesn't know him and he is a loser. Their spat continued with this and it seemed pointless.
Surbhi Jyoti is in the list this week. The actress has been apparently approached for Bigg Boss 14. The season 13 of the controversial show was a huge hit and now, the makers have started their search for the new contestants. However, whether she has accepted it or denied the offer remains to be known. Meanwhile, earlier in an interview with the same portal, Surbhi had revealed the reason as to why she had been refusing to do Bigg Boss. "I don't think I will ever do a reality show because I don't have that competitive spirit in me. The only thing I enjoy doing is acting; aur pressure mein to mujhse acting bhi nahi hoti. (I cannot act in pressure) Since I can't handle too much pressure, main bahut aaram se apni cheeze karna pasand karti hoon. (I like to do things at my pace)," the actress who rose to fame with Qubool Hai had told the portal in a live chat session.
2020 isn't a great year and things are not definitely happening positively in all our lives. We got to hear some really sad news this year and now, once again we heard about a television actress Preksha Mehta's suicide. Her father also spoke about it and said that they never knew she will take such a drastic step.
Parth Samthaan faced the fury of his fans this week. The domestic airports were opened recently and celebrities have grabbed this opportunity and have returned back to their families. Radhika Madan, Rohan Mehra, Parth Samthaan, and Karanveer Mehra are some of the celebrities who left for their home town. Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 actor Parth Samthaan aka Anurag had recently left for Hyderabad. Soon, a video of him had gone viral on the internet.
