JJ Lane Is Married! Bachelorette Alum Weds Fiancée Kayla Hughes in Denver

He’s a bachelor no more!

Former Bachelorette contestant JJ Lane wed his longtime girlfriend Kayla Hughes on Saturday, as family and friends — including fellow Bachelor Nation alums Jade and Tanner Tolbert, Chris Soules, and Ashley and Jared Haibon — looked on.

“I’m so ready to marry her,” Lane, 37, told PEOPLE, days before the nuptials. “My relationship with Kayla is so real and normal. I’m not nervous. I’m just excited.”

The couple exchanged vows at the historic Ironworks event venue in downtown Denver, Colorado, where they both live. The bride wore a custom gown by Mindi Linscombe, while Lane wore a Giorgio Fiorelli suit. Tolbert served as a groomsman and Lane’s 8-year-old daughter Gemma, who is his child from a previous marriage, served as a junior bridesmaid.

Lane, an investment banker, competed on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season of The Bachelorette in 2015, and also looked for love on the Bachelor in Paradise beach the following year. But it wasn’t until he met former NFL cheerleader Hughes, 26, in August 2017 that Lane knew he had found something special.

“I had a sneaking suspicion that we would get married,” Lane told PEOPLE about the pair’s relationship early on. “At least I was hoping that would be the case.”

And the feeling was mutual. “We instantly connected,” said Hughes, who met Lane on Instagram. “I felt like I had known him for years.”

As Lane and Hughes embark upon their lives as husband and wife, the groom joked about one benefit about a Leap Year wedding. “Our anniversary will only officially happen every four years,” he said with a laugh. “I’ll never forget it!”

Va. Teacher Celebrates Black History Month by Dressing Up as Different Black Leader Each Day

A first-grade teacher in Virginia is getting creative when it comes to inspiring her students during Black History Month.

LaToya McGriff spent each school day in February dressed as a different black historical figure by coming to class in elaborate costumes. “I enjoy doing this because my students are learning new facts every day and they look so forward to seeing who I am each day!” she wrote on Facebook.

During the month, McGriff wore a tutu to represent ballerina Misty Copeland, a pair of boxing gloves to represent Laila Ali, and scrubs and a stethoscope for Dr. L.D. Britt.

She’s also dressed as mathematician and aeronautical engineer Mary Jackson, Arthur Ashe, the local school district’s first black superintendent Mack Benn Jr., Col. Fred Cherry, Ella Fitzgerald, Booker T. Washington, teacher Florence Bowser, slave-turned-Colonial-spy James Lafayette, Henrietta Lacks, Tuskegee Airman Lt. Col. Howard Baugh and Maggie Walker, the first black female bank president in the country.

McGriff has shared all of her special outfits on Facebook, taking the time to include blurbs that explain each person’s contributions to history.

She also told Good Morning America that a majority of students at Creekside Elementary School in Suffolk, Virginia, are black, and part of her mission is to make sure they know just how important representation in history is.

“It is important for the children to see that people who look like them have made contributions because it reassures them that they can, too,” she said. “It’s hard to believe in something you don’t see.”

McGriff told the outlet that she’s been using the outfits as a way to spark discussion in her classroom, as the kids often want to learn more about who she had chosen to portray each day.

During the month, McGriff also honored historically black colleges and universities, like her alma mater Hampton University, as well as Black Greek-letter organizations, like Alpha Kappa Alpha Inc., of which she is a member.

McGriff said teaching the kids about these organizations and schools gives them “something to look up to” and “get excited about” when thinking about their futures.

“I hope that learn, no matter the circumstances, they can make a difference in this world,” she told GMA. “No matter where they come from, how they look, they can make a difference.”

The “Never Really Over” singer, 35, recently dished on her engagement to Orlando Bloom with Stellar Magazine, revealing that when it comes to wedding planning, she calls herself a “bridechilla as opposed to a bridezilla.”

“Orlando and I are united with our approach,” Perry explained, adding, “It’s not about the party it’s about the coming together of people who will hold us accountable when things get really hard. Those are just the facts when you’re with someone who challenges you to be your best self,” the American Idol judge told the outlet.

Perry and Bloom — who dated on-and-off from 2016 — got engaged on Valentine’s Day last year.

A source close to the couple previously told PEOPLE that the pair was staying “secretive” about their big day, but both want to tie the knot in a “smaller and intimate” wedding.

Perry previously opened up about how Bloom, 43, swept her off her feet before popping the question. The Pirates of the Caribbean actor went the old-fashioned route and asked her parents’ permission before asking her the ever-important question.

“Orlando had planned this for a while,” a Bloom source told PEOPLE at the time. “He wanted it all to be special.”

Perry spoke about the proposal during an interview with Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp interview, recalling, “I just remember meeting him at dinner at this place, this Italian restaurant, because when I get a pass, I just want to stuff my face with pasta. So I get there and, I mean, he’s like clean-shaven. He’s not wearing tennis shoes. I’m like, ‘Ah s—, something is going down! We were ordering everything and I was like, ‘Who is this person?!’ ”

The star added, “I got on a helicopter and he asked me to marry him, and then we landed on this building and then went downstairs and my family and friends were there and the most flowers you’ve ever seen.“

Bloom and Perry were first spotted together in January 2016 at a Golden Globes afterparty where they were photographed smiling and laughing with each other.

Then in May 2016, Perry made their relationship Instagram official with a photo of the pair lounging in robes together on the steps of a building in Cannes.

But the pair split in February 2017, with their reps releasing a joint statement explaining that they needed time apart. The following year, they reconciled.

Hawaii Five-0 to End After 10 Seasons with Finale Set for April: 'It's Never Easy to Say Goodbye'

CBS is saying “aloha” to Hawaii Five-0.

On Friday, the network announced that the police procedural — a reboot of Leonard Freeman’s classic series of the same name — will end after its current 10th season.

A two-hour series finale is scheduled to air on April 3.

“It’s never easy to say goodbye to a hit franchise that carried on the legacy of the original with such distinction, while establishing its own signature style,” Kelly Kahl, president of CBS Entertainment, said in a statement. “From episode one, Hawaii Five-0 has been a huge success for us. Thanks to the amazing talents of the producers, writers, cast and crew, it has played a key role for a decade on our schedule and helped establish our powerhouse Friday night.”

He added, “We cannot be prouder of its quality and longevity and are thankful for the passionate fan devotion it inspired.”

Currently starring Alex O’Loughlin, Scott Caan, Chi McBride, Jorge Garcia, Meaghan Rath, Taylor Wily, Dennis Chun, Kimee Balmilero, Beulah Koale, Ian Anthony Dale and Katrina Law, the series follows an elite state police task force set up to fight crimes in Hawaii.

Over the years, the show also starred Daniel Dae Kim, Grace Park, Taryn Manning, Masi Oka, Lauren German and Michelle Borth.

“This show has been pretty much every waking moment for the last 10 years of my life,” O’Loughlin, 43, said in a statement. “Everywhere I go on this planet, in every language, I am McGarrett to all these people. What we’ve done, what we’ve accomplished, it’s extraordinary. I can’t really put words to express my level of gratitude.”

The actor continued, “I’m just glad to have been a part of this, a part of history, and I’m going to miss it. And to the fans, I don’t know how to thank you guys. Thank you for following us the way you have. I’m going to miss you. Aloha.”

Okla. Man Sentenced to Life for Holding Stepdaughter Captive for 19 Years, Fathering Her 9 Children

A man convicted of kidnapping and traveling with a minor to engage in a sexual act was sentenced to life in prison on Feb. 20, according to a statement released by the U.S. Department of Justice.

Henri Michelle Piette, 65, was sentenced to life for kidnapping, 360 months for traveling with intent to engage in sexual acts with a juvenile, a $50,000 fine and ordered to pay $50,067 restitution.

During the 2019 trial, prosecutors presented evidence that Piette kidnapped his stepdaughter Rosalynn McGinnis, who was 12 at the time, from Poteau, Okla., where he had been living with McGinnis’ mother.

“Over the course of the nearly 20 years that followed, the defendant repeatedly raped and inflicted additional physical and emotional abuse upon the victim,” the department stated. “The victim gave birth to nine children, the first being born in 2000 when she was 15 years-old.”

In June 2016, McGinnis managed to flee — with eight of the nine children she had with Piette — from a remote village in Mexico where she had been held. (Her eldest child, a son, ran away before her escape; they have since been reunited.)

Upon her return to the U.S., the FBI began an investigation in search of Piette. In 2017, McGinnis sat down with PEOPLE and told her story while still living in fear of her abductor.

On Sept. 7, 2017, according to a federal complaint, there was a development in the case: An FBI special agent was notified that Piette, who had resided in Central America and Mexico for a lengthy period of time, “visited the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City attempting to obtain a U.S. Passport.”

A month later, Piette was arrested in Dallas.

At the time of his arrest, McGinnis gave an exclusive statement to PEOPLE.

“Relief is such a small word in comparison to how I feel about the capture of Henri Piette. However, it is the closest I am able to come to describing my overall demeanor at this time,”she said. “Knowing that the man who physically took 22 years from me, leaving me with a lifetime of painful challenges, has been captured makes today one of the most pivotal times of my life.”

Federal prosecutors stated they hope Piette’s sentencing provides closure and an opportunity for McGinnis and her family to heal.

“Life in prison is a sentence the law reserves for the most serious offenders — offenders like Henri Michelle Piette. For 20 years he inflicted extreme physical and emotional abuse on the victim and her children. For 20 years she feared for her and her children’s lives,” said U.S. Attorney Brian J. Kuester. “The victim’s courage ended the defendant’s reign of terror. Unfortunately, the horrific memories may very well last a life time. It is fitting that the defendant’s sentence will also.”

12-Week-Old Yorkshire Terrier Puppy Dies After Flying on Delta Flight to Meet New Family

A 12-week old Yorkshire Terrier puppy named Sebastian has tragically died after flying on a Delta Airlines flight to meet his new family.

A spokesperson for Delta confirmed the incident to PEOPLE, saying in a statement, “Pets are an important member of the family, and we are focused on the well-being of all animals we transport.”

The representative added, “We extend our deepest condolences to Sebastian’s family and are conducting a thorough review of the situation to understand what happened.”

Cory Mcjimson — who purchased Sebastian for nearly $3,000 from a breeder in Ohio as a gift for his 5-year-old daughter — found the pup unresponsive in his crate when he went to pick him up at a Delta cargo area in the Los Angeles International Airport on Thursday night, according to TMZ, who was first to report the incident.

Mcjimson said the breeder had arranged for Sebastian to fly from Ohio to California with a stopover in Atlanta, Georgia. However, when he arrived at the airport around 6:30 p.m. to welcome the pooch, Mcjimson said that he found Sebastian not moving or breathing in his kennel.

The father told the online outlet that he believes the puppy was transported in the plane’s pressurized cargo hold during both of his flights. PEOPLE has not been able to confirm whether or not this is where the puppy was held during the flight.

He said he alerted Delta employees of Sebastian’s state after opening the carrier and the dog was immediately rushed to a nearby animal hospital. According to the Mcjimson, veterinarians tried to resuscitate Sebastian, but the pup was pronounced dead around 9 p.m.

Mcjimson told TMZ that Delta said they would be taking care of the necropsy and cremation of Sebastian.

According to the airline’s policy, live pets can be transported without a human companion present through Delta Cargo. The airline states that a two-hour connection is required for all animals and the person who booked the shipment must provide adequate food and water as well as a proper, well-ventilated kennel for the journey.

On the Delta Cargo website, the airline cautions that animals may experience temperatures between 10°F (-12°C) and 85°F (29°C) for up to 45 minutes while on the ground at the airport.

“Delta complies with federal regulations, which state that we must offer food for dogs/cats less than 16 weeks of age every 12 hours and every 24 hours for those over 16 weeks of age,” it reads. “Water receptacles are filled at stopover locations.”

Sebastian’s death was not the first time a beloved pet has died while being transported on an airplane. In 2018, a French bulldog died after its carrier was placed in an overhead bin on a United Airlines flight.

Last year, a husky passed away on an 11-hour transatlantic flight from Amsterdam to Los Angeles.

N.J. Man Forced to Swim to Shore After Being Left Stranded on Top of Submerged Truck in Ocean

A New Jersey man is lucky to be alive after he became stranded in the middle of the ocean on top of his submerged pickup truck and had to swim to shore in order to save his life.

Wildwood authorities said “poor visibility and unfavorable beach conditions” were to blame for the incident on Wednesday evening that left the driver hospitalized with possible hypothermia and respiratory issues, according to a press release on the local fire department’s Facebook.

It was around 7:30 p.m. when the Wildwood Fire Department was called to the area of Spencer Ave. and the Beach for a water rescue assignment, officials said.

While firefighters were on their way to the scene, the Wildwood Police Department informed them that a pickup truck “was almost completely submerged” in the ocean with the driver, who was identified as an employee of Morey’s Pier, on its roof.

“Visibility was extremely limited due to a heavy fog condition which made the situation more difficult than usual,” the fire department explained on Facebook of the rescue.

By some miracle, authorities said the driver was able to escape from the vehicle and climb onto its roof as he waited for help.

Unfortunately, he didn’t have long and the pickup truck continued to quickly sink. With no other way out, the man was forced to abandon his vehicle in the middle of the ocean, jump into the rocky waters and swim to shore, according to authorities.

Once he made it in safely, officials provided medical attention before transporting him to Cape Regional Medical Center via ambulance.

Photos of the terrifying scene were shared on the fire department’s Facebook, showing the white pickup truck tucked beneath the ocean waves in the darkness.

As it turns out, the fire department revealed that the pickup driver wasn’t the only person whose vehicle got stuck on Wednesday evening.

“Due to poor visibility and unfavorable beach conditions, several vehicles became stuck in the sand on location but were quickly pulled out with the help of the City’s Public Works Department,” officials wrote on Facebook.

“All fire units cleared the scene at 8:55 pm,” they added.

In response to the post, several community members praised the fire department for their quick action and saving the man’s life.

“Excellent work, we live nearby and witnessed the expedited response,” wrote one user. “Another great job by our fire fighters!!!” added another person.

“Awesome job by our first responders and all involved,” commented someone else.

At this time, it is unclear how the driver managed to get stuck in the ocean.

A spokesperson with Wildwood Fire Department did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

The Bachelorette's Chad Johnson Speaks Out After His Arrest and Denies Domestic Abuse

Bachelor Nation’s Chad Johnson is speaking out after he was arrested earlier this week following an argument with his girlfriend.

In a lengthy video posted to Instagram on Thursday, Johnson — who competed on JoJo Fletcher‘s season of The Bachelorette as well as Bachelor in Paradise — detailed the incident and apologized for his behavior, which ultimately led to his arrest on robbery with domestic violence enhancement charges.

“Hey everyone, this is Chad Johnson and I wanted to take a second to talk to you about the current situation you’ve probably seen going on in the press with me arrested for robbery,” Johnson, 32, began.

“So me and my girlfriend broke up the other night and I was devastated. I mean, it was like losing my best friend,” he said about Annalise Mishler. “So I did what I haven’t done in two months and something I promised I wouldn’t do anymore and that was to drink alcohol. I made a promise to myself and my girlfriend I wouldn’t do that anymore and as most of you know that’s been a bit of an issue in my life. Whenever I do drink, I don’t act right. So I screwed up and I drank and I went over to talk to her.”

Johnson explained that he and Mishler “live in the same apartment complex — not the same apartment, but very close by.”

“So I went over there and trying to talk things out and initially we had worked things out and we were back together, everything was fine, until she discovered that I had — in between us breaking up and me drinking — downloaded a dating app and I had started to receive messages on there. So we had some arguments and she was yelling, I was yelling. I would go to my place, she would knock on my door; I’d go to her place, knock on her door. In the end, I ended up going home,” he said.

“The next day,” Johnson said he went to Mishler’s apartment “to try to talk things out.”

Ahead of Johnson’s arrest, Mishler had reportedly documented the alleged fight in a series of since-deleted posts on her Instagram Story.

The posts, which were captured by television writer Reality Steve, alleged that Johnson had punched a visible hole through her wall. The videos also showed Johnson allegedly “screaming” outside of her door and trying to get inside. According to Mishler’s videos, Johnson allegedly yelled “I hope you f—ing die” through the door. In the clips, Mishler said the alleged fight started after she found notifications from a dating app on his phone.

Though Johnson said he “saw that she had posted the videos,” he said in his apology video that “I wasn’t mad at her — I totally understand why she did that. I still love her very much. I totally get it.”

“But I tried to talk things out and we still had the issues with the dating app and then she came over to my place and she kept recording me. I was very down at the time, I was very upset and I just didn’t want to be recorded,” he continued, before admitting he took her phone and threw it. “So I made a stupid decision and I grabbed her phone and I just threw it, I threw it outside.”

He then proceeded to go “back over to her place to apologize and I was knocking on the door there, that’s when one of the neighbors apparently had called the police.”

On Tuesday, a spokesperson with the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to PEOPLE that Johnson was arrested Monday afternoon on robbery with domestic violence enhancement charges.

According to TMZ, which first reported the news, Mishler said he had gotten physical with her and officers found visible red marks on her face. The outlet reported that Johnson was charged with robbery because he allegedly grabbed her phone away while she called 911.

Reflecting on incident, Johnson said in his video, “Now if you don’t know the law in California, the law in California is if there’s a domestic disturbance, somebody has to go to jail. So I was taken to jail for that and while she was talking to them she told them about how I had thrown her phone and so that was the robbery issue.”

Despite the domestic violence enhancement that was part of his charges, Johnson assured that “there was never any domestic abuse of any kind.”

“I have never laid hands on a woman anytime in my entire life. I was in the Marine Corps, I was taught core values, I have a sister, I am a very overprotective brother — if she ever felt in danger, I would want her to call. If any women out there ever feel like they are in any danger, I urge you to call 911. I can totally understand why Annalise felt threatened whenever I took her phone, but I am 100 percent confident any type of domestic abuse charges are going to be dropped because there was never any type of domestic abuse at all whatsoever. Never laid my hands on a woman,” he said.

Johnson then apologized for his actions and extended his remorse to Mishler about the situation.

“I’m sorry for the entire situation. I’m sorry for anybody who had to see it, who’s been triggered by this. I am so sorry to Annalise for feeling threatened,” he said, and concluded, “I’m working on myself to get better. All I can do is put my best foot forward and try to be a better person every day from here on out and make less mistakes in life,” he said.

He concluded by asking people to “not be so quick to take judgment.”

“And I hope that everyone out there can not be so quick to take judgment,” he said. “Hopefully this explains a little bit of the situation and there can be some understanding.”

Woman Dies After Drinking Single Sip from Bottle of Wine Laced with MDMA

A woman in Belgium died after taking one sip of wine from a bottle that had been laced with MDMA, the active ingredient in ecstacy.

The 41-year-old from Puurs, Belgium took one sip of red wine from the Dutch brand Black & Bianco in December, The Guardian reported Thursday.

The woman, who has not been identified, reportedly stopped drinking the wine, from a 2016 bottle of red merlot cabernet sauvignon, after just one sip because of a bad taste — but that was enough to cause her to collapse not long after.

She was taken to the hospital and died five days later from the amount of the drug she had consumed, the BBC reported.

Black & Bianco issued a statement on the incident, explaining that the company only recently became aware of the woman’s death as part of a criminal investigation.

The company also stated that the bottle had been manipulated and did not have an original Black & Bianco cork.

According to photos shared by the company, the brand’s corks are black and include the words “Black & Bianco,” but the cork from the bottle of this woman was beige and had no branding.

Black & Bianco also said that it had checked its inventory of the red merlot cabernet sauvignon 2016 as a “precautionary measure” and expressed that customers can also check their own bottles by making sure it has the correct kind of cork, and to alert authorities if any evidence of tampering is found.

The woman’s sister told a local newspaper that the woman who died “was 100 percent against drugs.”

“She was completely unacceptable with people who used drugs or walked around under the influence,” she said, according to The Guardian. “We also do not understand where that bottle came from. She only drank one sip.”

Black & Bianco said that the bottle the woman drank from is only available in Belgium online, but the BBC reported that she worked at a store that sold items that had been confiscated from the country’s federal finance service.

However, a spokesperson for the finance ministry told the outlet that the store no longer sells food or drink to individuals and that employees are not allowed to take anything home.

Jenelle Evans Reveals She Has a New Pet 9 Months After Her Ex Shot and Killed Her Dog

Jenelle Evans has welcomed a new dog into her life.

On Wednesday, Evans, 28, introduced her Twitter followers to her puppy golden doodle, just nine months after her estranged husband David Eason shot and killed her French Bulldog Nugget.

“Meet Rosey,” Evans wrote on Twitter, directing everyone to her blog. “Since everyone’s asking… here’s our ‘new’ pet.”

In her blog post, Evans shared that she was moved to get a new fur baby after leaving her home in North Carolina to move to Nashville, Tennessee.

PEOPLE previously reported in October that Evans and Eason had split after tying the knot in September 2017. Despite the breakup, the former couple were spotted together earlier this month in Tennessee. However, as for whether or not the former pair have rekindled things, Evans told E!, “Nope, not right now.”

Evans explained in her blog that upon her arrival in Nashville, she wanted to make her kids “feel as comfortable as possible.”

“I thought the best way to do this was to buy a dog,” Evans shared. “Yes, I know what you’re thinking, ‘Jenelle is crazy!’ Sometimes I have the best ideas, and sometimes I don’t. This idea turned out to be a good one.”

After doing research on Craigslist, Evans decided on a golden doodle.

“This breed is perfect for kids! Golden doodles are known to be super friendly with everyone, extremely playful, and therapy dogs, which help with anxiety,” Evans wrote.

“After learning tons of information about these dogs, I replied to the Craigslist post about meeting up to see the puppies. I packed the kids up in the car and headed out 45 minutes into the country of Tennessee,” Evans shared. “We met the Craigslist lady at a public store. When I looked in her back seat was filled with 6-8 golden doodle puppies! I was melting onto the parking lot. The kids ended up choosing a female and she was a dark red color. We ended up naming her Rosey!”

Evans explained that when she got back home with Rosey, her kids couldn’t get enough of the little pooch.

“She seemed to be shy at first but warmed up very quickly. Fast forward until now, Rosey is 6 months old and a really hyper puppy. She is full of energy and it matches the kids personalities perfect.”

Evans concluded her post, explaining while though the new addition to her family came during a tough time, “I’m happy I did!”

Evans previously added two Anatolian Shepherds named Buddy and Junior to her home just three months after the death of Nugget.

However, it is not immediately clear if Evans still sees the dogs as she got them while still with Eason when she lived in Riegelwood, North Carolina.

Evans made headlines again in February of this year after sources told TMZ that she was splitting time in Nashville and North Carolina to take care of her and Eason’s pet goat.

As seen in Eason’s recent TikTok video, a baby goat was in the North Carolina home.

A rep for Evans did not respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment regarding her reported ownership of the goat.

As for her relationship status with Eason, Evans told E! that they are “just co-parenting.”

“No one knows anything and I’m sick of everyone trying to guess my life. I have no privacy no matter what I do,” she told E!

“No, he lives at the North Carolina house that we own together,” she said about the two living together again. “I still have my apartment.”

Evans and Eason share daughter Ensley Jolie, 3. Evans is also mom to sons Jace Evans, 10, and Kaiser Griffith, 5, from previous relationships.

As Tom Brady‘s NFL fate remains a mystery, his wife Gisele Bündchen is revealing that even she doesn’t know where he will end up.

The 39-year-old super model shared during a Q&A with her fans on Instagram on Thursday that like her quarterback husband’s fans, she too would love to know what city he’ll be playing in next season.

“Well, I would love to know where I’m going to be living this year, but I don’t know that yet,” she revealed. “But hopefully somewhere nice. And my husband is happy playing. So we will see.”

While Bündchen doesn’t know where her family will be later this year, it sounds like she wouldn’t be opposed to staying in New England.

“Yes, I love it,” she said in response to another fan’s question about how she likes the region. “I’ve been living there for 12 years. My kids love it, they love the snow. As a Brazilian, I have a little bit harder time with the cold, but I really can appreciate the beauty of the seasons there.”

Brady and Bündchen reportedly moved their family from Massachusetts to Greenwich, Connecticut last month.

ESPN reported on Thursday that Brady “is currently operating under the belief that he will enter free agency to play somewhere other than New England next season.”

The outlet reported that the longtime Patriots star “is evaluating the NFL landscape with the intention of departing,” according to sources.

However, Brady alluded last month that he’d be returning to the New England team when he shared on Instagram, “In both life and football, failure is inevitable. You dont always win. You can, however, learn from that failure, pick yourself up with great enthusiasm, and place yourself in the arena again. And that’s right where you will find me. Because I know I still have more to prove.”

Bündchen also opened up in her Q&A on Thursday about how she and Brady keep their relationship strong amid her husband’s chaotic football schedule.

“I don’t know if there’s a secret recipe for that, but what I try to do is to keep the communication current and clear and loving,” she said. “You know, I think sometimes we think about something that happened like last year or last month, we can keep holding resentment, and I think that doesn’t serve any good.”

“So I think it’s important in a relationship to accept what is,” Bündchen continued. “And you know, we all make mistakes and I think it’s important to — and I think patience is also very important because you know I think we need to be more patient and more compassionate with ourselves and others and I think that helps a lot.”

“It also helps if you admire the person that you’re with, and they bring out the best in you,” she added.

“I always say to my friends and to my kids too, surround yourself with people that make you better than yourself, be the best version of yourself,” she concluded. “So I think that helps.”

U.S. Stock Market Suffers Brutally as Dow Drops to Historic Low Amid Coronavirus Fears

The coronavirus may not infect all, but it may affect all financially.

The stock market saw a massive drop on Thursday, just two days after officials urged Americans to start preparing for a bigger outbreak of the coronavirus in the United States.

Fears sparked by the recent disease outbreak caused the Dow Jones Industrial Average to decline by 1,190.95 points (4.4 percent) and close at 25,766.64, while the S&P 500 index, which measures the stock performance of the top 500 companies in the U.S., fell by 4.4 percent to 2,978.76, according to CNBC.

The Nasdaq Composite also dropped by 4.6 percent to 8,566.48, the outlet reported.

In addition to the significant declines, history was made on Thursday, as the Dow marked its biggest one-day point drop to ever be recorded, according to the outlet. Similarly, the Nasdaq saw its biggest one-day point decline since August 2011.

The Dow and S&P 500 also experienced their worst day for stocks since February 2018, with the S&P closing below 3,000 for the first time since October, CNBC reported.

Following the drops, Ascent Private Capital Management’s global investment strategist Tom Hainlin reportedly said that because the virus-related decline is unprecedented, they’re treating it with immense caution.

“We’re extremely cautious in the short term,” Hainlin explained, according to CNBC. “No one really seems to be an expert on the coronavirus. We haven’t seen anything like this really in our investing lifetimes.”

Other experts — including Goldman Sachs chief U.S. equity strategist David Kostin and Former Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen, and head of U.S. rates trading at AmeriVet Securities Gregory Faranello — also spoke out about the coronavirus epidemic and its inevitable effect on the U.S. economy.

“We’ve hit a pocket of fear,” Faranello told CNBC. “We could be in trouble because, let’s face it, the U.S. consumer is what’s holding this thing together.”

“U.S. companies will generate no earnings growth in 2020,” Kostin wrote in a note to the firm’s clients on Thursday obtained by NBC News. “We have updated our earnings model to incorporate the likelihood that the virus becomes widespread.”

“It is just conceivable that it could throw the United States into a recession,” Yellen said Wednesday, according to the outlet.

On Tuesday, the Centers for Disease Control urged Americans to start preparing for a bigger outbreak in the U.S. “in the expectation that this could be bad,” said Dr. Nancy Messonnier, director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases at the CDC.

“It’s not so much of a question of if this will happen in this country anymore but a question of when this will happen,” Messonnier said.

The sudden urgency, after weeks of emphasizing that the risk to the average American is “low,” came from the abrupt spread of the new coronavirus, officially termed COVID-19, in countries outside of China.

Last weekend, cases of coronavirus soared in Italy (283 cases and seven deaths), South Korea (977 cases and 10 deaths) and Iran (95 cases and 16 deaths). Austria and Croatia also said they’ve seen their first cases.

Currently, the U.S. has 53 confirmed cases of coronavirus. Of those, 12 cases occurred in people who recently returned from trips to China before news of the outbreak spread and two cases were from their close contacts.

The other 39 cases are in people who were repatriated by the State Department back to the U.S., either in one of the three chartered flights of Americans who had been living in China, or from the Diamond Princess cruise ship that had been quarantined in Yokohama, Japan.

On Wednesday night, President Donald Trump said Vice President Mike Pence will be leading the federal government’s response to the coronavirus outbreak. They plan to ask Congress for additional funding to prevent the disease from spreading.

Is Riverdale‘s Jughead Jones dead?

During Wednesday night’s episode — which was aptly titled “How to Get Away With Murder” — the CW series showed Jughead’s corpse at the morgue, leaving every fan to question the fate of Cole Sprouse’s character.

Viewers saw what happened when Stonewall foe Donna (Sarah Desjardins) tried to trigger Betty’s (Lili Reinhart) dark side but instead drugged her with devil’s breath a.k.a hyoscine. With Betty in a daze, she was later found by Archie (KJ Apa) and Veronica (Camila Mendes) in the woods, standing in front of her boyfriend’s body with a blood-covered rock in her hand.

At the end of the episode, after Betty, Archie and Veronica coaxed a search party to Jughead’s body, the local sheriff and Jughead’s dad, F.P. (Skeet Ulrich), were in the coroner’s office with Betty identifying Jughead’s body.

Jughead’s demise has been the big question since season 3’s whirlwind finale that found Archie, Veronica and Betty somehow involved in a murder.

Though viewers at the time were unaware of who the murder subject was, many speculated that it would be Jughead as he was not pictured in the scene and Betty mentioned burning his beanie. As season 4 of the hit CW drama has progressed, viewers have learned more clues about the events of that mysterious night with flash-forwards at the end of each episode that gave them more insight into what would eventually be revealed as Jughead’s possible death.

Riverdale fans have been eagerly watching to see if Jughead is truly dead. On Wednesday night’s episode, that appeared to be likely as the camera panned to Jughead’s cold, seemingly lifeless body in the morgue.

Viewers of the show aren’t jumping to any conclusions surrounding Jughead’s possible death, however, as many believe that the show would never kill off a central character, especially given that Riverdale has been renewed for a fifth season.

Other teen drama shows have toyed around with the fake death plotline (we’re looking at you, Pretty Little Liars) so it wouldn’t come as a surprise to many if Riverdale did the same.

“They can show Jughead’s dead body as many times as they want. I’m still not buying it,” one user tweeted, while another said, “I’m going to save you from a seven-day headache. Jughead is not dead.”

Riverdale superfans were also quick to notice on the IMDb page for the series that the summary for episode 16, which airs in two weeks, mentions a potential return from Sprouse’s character.

“After Jughead’s resurrection, Betty, Archie, and Veronica notice that there’s something different about him,” the description reads.

Fans have also speculated that this could potentially signal the Riverdale/Chilling Adventures of Sabrina crossover they have been waiting for.

Though whether or not Jughead is truly deceased remains to be seen, viewers will surely be clued in as the season progresses.

Riverdale airs Wednesdays (8 p.m. ET) on CW.

Kris Jenner Says She Told Daughters Kim and Kourtney Kardashian to 'Grow Up' After Their Fight

During Thursday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the famous momager, 64, spoke out about the fight between her daughters Kim Kardashian West and Kourtney Kardashian — which will air in season 18 of Keeping Up with the Kardashians — and revealed whether or not she lets them go at it for “ratings” or if she reprimands them.

“I wasn’t there when they had that argument,” Kris told Ellen DeGeneres, adding, “And I have not seen them really fight like that since they were in high school.”

“There was one time, I think it was way back, when Kim … did anybody see when Kim beat one of the kids over the head with her purse because her rims on her car weren’t right, it was so silly,” Kris said of the unforgettable reality TV moment when Kim, 39, screamed, “Don’t be f—— rude,” to Khloé Kardashian after she claimed her sisters were jealous of her new Bentley in the 2008 episode.

“It took me back to that, but it made me really sad,” Kris told DeGeneres, 62, while remembering the incident.

“I was like, ‘You guys can’t be fighting with each other,'” Kris said she told Kim and Kourtney, 40. “‘That’s ridiculous, you know. Grow up.'”

On Tuesday, E! announced that the famous family’s long-running reality show is moving to Thursday nights instead of Sundays, with season 18 set to premiere on March 26.

And in the sneak peek accompanying the announcement, tensions between Kourtney and her sisters Kim and Khloé, 35, only seem to be have gotten worse since last season.

“Why do you have to have an attitude?” demands Khloé in one scene.

“Just don’t involve yourself in business that is not yours,” replies Kourtney.

“Then don’t talk about it in front of me,” Khloé fires back.

In another scene, Kendall Jenner, 24, gets dragged into the drama, though it’s still unclear whose side she’s on.

“She can’t sit back and just be like, ‘All right, I was wrong,’” she says.

Last but not least, the clip teases a shocking confrontation between Kourtney and Kim.

“You have nothing to say,” Kourtney yells, angrily waving her finger in Kim’s face, then chucking a boxed water at her.

“Don’t ever come at me like that,” Kim warns before lunging at her.

The three sisters feuded at length throughout season 17, in large part over Kourtney’s “boundaries” as she refused to film aspects of her personal life, forcing Kim and Khloé to “pick up the slack.”

At one point, Kim even threatened to fire Kourtney, though sources have told PEOPLE that this wouldn’t technically be possible since the Kardashian sisters are equal-level executive producers.

Fans were surprised to see Kourtney in the trailer after she previously expressed a desire to step back from life on camera.

However, during Kris’ appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, she confirmed that Kourtney is still very much a part of the show.

“She’s filming again,” Kris said. “I gave her some ,” Kris joked. “I think she just needed a little bit of a break. You know how we all hit a tipping point, and she hit a wall. She was frustrated and she felt under-appreciated and that her sisters didn’t understand her boundaries. So I think after taking a little bit of time off, she’s seen the light. The Kardashian light.”

Peter Weber Admits He Wishes Madison Told Him About Saving Herself for Marriage ‘a Little Bit Sooner’

The Bachelor‘s Peter Weber is opening up about the serious conversation he had with Madison Prewett.

Exclusively speaking with PEOPLE at The Bachelor: Women Tell All taping last week, the 28-year-old pilot addressed Prewett’s perspective about potentially not moving forward in their relationship if she found out he had slept with the other contestants during Fantasy Suites.

“I would’ve loved to have had that conversation a little bit sooner, not leading into the week of fantasy suites,” Weber told PEOPLE. “But I also don’t fault her at all for what she told me, because I was very clear with all the women from the very first night to please share what’s ever on your heart.”

“Do not hold anything back, and if it’s on your heart, I need to know that,” he added. “And that’s all that she did. People try to say it’s an ultimatum. It wasn’t. She simply felt I needed to know what she was feeling and I could see how uncomfortable it was for her to have that conversation with me. But at the end of the day, I’m a hypocrite if I tried to say that that wasn’t right for her to do that.”

During Monday night’s episode, Prewett — who had revealed she is saving herself for marriage — pulled Weber aside to address her “expectations” heading into the Fantasy Suite dates.

“I don’t think Peter knows how much I’m struggling with moving to the next level of the Fantasy Suites and an engagement,” she admitted. “That is a really huge, major step. My faith is literally everything to me and I have saved myself for marriage. I can’t keep moving forward and continuing this relationship if I don’t get the clarity and peace and confidence that I need.”

“In no way do I want to give you an ultimatum,” Prewett said. “But for me, actions speak louder than words.”

After two dreamy dates with Hannah Ann Sluss and Victoria Fuller, Weber revealed to Prewett he had been intimate with other women.

“I don’t want this to feel like it’s all about sex, but this is really a big thing right now for us,” he told Prewett during a sit down dinner. “I don’t know how else to do this. I’ll just be very honest and I won’t give any details, but I have been intimate, and I can’t lie to you about that.”

Prewett, then, excused herself.

“I feel really, really hurt and really let down,” she said in a confessional. “He knew coming into this week, because I had made it clear, that there was a chance that he could lose me if he made certain decisions and he made them anyways. I’m so frustrated with him, I’m so mad at him.”

After going after her, Weber said, “If you can honestly see you and me together forever, do not walk away. Please don’t. I know that I hurt you and I’m sorry for that, but please don’t walk away from this.”

The Bachelor airs Mondays (8 p.m. ET) on ABC.
