Diljit Dosanjh made his Hindi film debut with Abhishek Chaubey's Udta Punjab. While the singer has two films lined up for release this year, Diljit has now collaborated with Yami Gautam for another film. The duo will be seen together for the first time in a comedy which will mark the directorial debut of veteran Aziz Mirza’s son, Haroon Mirza.
Ramesh Taurani will be producing the yet-untitled movie. He confirmed the news to a daily saying Diljit and Yami have given their nod to the film. It’s a fresh pairing and the team is excited because both are competent actors with impeccable comic timing. He also said that it’s a sensible comedy and revolves around a couple. Taurani also shared that the film has an interesting story.
The movie is one of the last films penned by Neeraj Vora, who passed away in 2017 after he had slipped into coma in October 2016. He had co-written the script with Vibha Singh and Arshad Sayed. The film will go on floors this August.
