After 2.0, Akshay Kumar and S. Shankar to collaborate for Kamal Haasan's Indian 2?- find out

Akshay Kumar, who was last seen in S. Shankar's 2.0 opposite Rajinikanth, has reportedly bagged another project by the filmmaker. As per a DNA report, the actor will be seen playing a negative role in Indian 2, the poster of which was released recently. Indian 2 is the sequel to Shankar's Indian which released in the year 1994. The report states that the director had approached Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar both, however, Ajay couldn't come on board to play the role of a cop due to his prior commitments.

Coming to Akshay's part in the film, a source informed the daily, "Akshay and Shankar, who became good friends by the time 2.0 was wrapped, had reportedly spoken about working together again when something suitable came their way. And looks like that has happened soon after the film s release." Well, if this piece of information anywhere close to the truth, we are more than happy with their collaboration. But we aren't jumping to any conclusions, as there is no confirmation from either of the parties.

Meanwhile, Akshay will be next seen in Kesari opposite Parineeti Chopra. Bankrolled by Karan Johar, the film is based on the Battle of Saragarhi that took place between the Sikh soldiers of the British Indian Army and the Pashtun Orakzai tribesmen in 1897. Apart from Kesari, the actor has Housefull 4, Mission Mangal, Sooryavanshi in the pipeline. Looks like, the actor is on his way to rule 2019.
